Hello! I just had to give God some glory tonight. I know this is gross, but bear with me. I suffer from kidney stones(the first time I had them was about a year ago, and there were TWO at the same time. OUCH!!!). The first time I had them, a dull, fire-like pain started small on the right side of my back and got so bad over the course of about four hours that it made me sick(literally). I was miserable and in terrible pain for a week. Anyway, tonight we had a cookout with family, and that same pain started creeping up my back. Knowing exactly what it was(because trust me, you NEVER forget how it feels), I told my husband I needed to go see a doctor ASAP. We went home, and I waited for him in the car while he got our 2 year old daughter, Holly, ready to go. I was crying it hurt so bad, and I was starting to feel really sick. I started begging God to help me. Then, as quickly as it came, the pain stopped. I had to let it sink in, actually. I couldn't believe the pain was gone just like that. I don't want to elaborate on the details for obvious reasons, but I went back inside, and presto change-o, no more stone. The funny thing is, this time, this stone was bigger than the two from before. I'm convinced that God heard me crying and helped me. He is so amazing! What an awesome friend we have in Jesus.
I also pray that none of you ever have to experience these things. It's a pain worse than childbirth, IMO.

Dear 4Jesus,
I am very happy for you! I've had kidney stones in the past and had to have them removed by having surgery, and I can attest that this is the worst pain (at least among the top ten) that a person can experience. There is no position that is comfortable, whether you're on your back, sitting up, or lying on your side. Plus the nausea and vomiting that goes with it! So I understand exactly how you felt, and what a miracle it was that the Lord healed you.
Praise God!!

Praise the Lord Sis, he hears every prayer that leaves our lips

lisaleenie,
I'm so sorry you had to go through that. You're definitely right. I could've stood on my head in an ice-cold creek, and it wouldn't have phased that pain. Nothing seems to, except strong medicine(...which makes me even sicker than when I don't take it at all. lol).
I was wondering about something earlier. The first time I had a bout of kidney stones, I had been eating healthier and had started exercising for about a week. It's the same this time. I started exercising and eating better last week, and another stone episode tonight. (Lost 3 pounds already, by the way.
) Anyway, I wonder if there's a connection between getting healthier and passing kidney stones...Posted 2 years ago # -
Ugh! I can't get the quote box where it needs to be. Sorry. I tried quoting your post, lisaleenie, but technology hates me. lol

Thanking the Lord with you 4Jesus that He heard your cry and gave you the victory by the stripes of Jesus and in His Name!
Look to Me and be saved all you ends of the earth! For I AM God and there is no other. And there is no other God besides Me, a just God and Savior. There is none besides Me. I, even I am the Lord, and besides Me there is no Savior. Is 43,45Posted 2 years ago # -
Hi, 4 Jesus, well. I hit the quote buton myself, and it didn't work for me, either.
Thank you for your empathy on what I went through myself. That pain is something else, huh? Anyway, to answer your question, I believe what helps you to pass the kidney stones is to drink a lot of water. That helps flushes them out. One day when I had horrible kidney stone pain, I drank water all day long (I wasn't able to eat) and after I vomited, the pain eased up after drinking all that water. As far as your eating healthy and excercising, that is good for you, so I wouldn't stop doing that.

I definitely will. I already feel so much better. It's even helped with my OCD a bit. :)
