Thanks so much for that great link, that is easier than looking it all up.

But I did yesterday and Perth Australia is 5hrs ahead of Jerusalem. (don't know how many West Aussies are on this site).

The Feast of Trumpets starts when one of the Sanhedrin can see a sliver of the moon, and another confirms it. There needs to be a witness. Then the Shofar is sounded and Yom Teruah begins! So no one knows the day or the hour. It depends on when that sliver of moon is visible.
