So we have "venus" the devil..being cast down, and as he,Jesus "mercury" takes his bride away.

The historian Josephus records, during Herod’s final year, that at the time he slew the high priest Matthias, “that very night there was an eclipse of the moon”. The eclipse happened March 13th, in the year of the Julian period 4710 which was 4 B.C. and Herod died that year right before Passover. By this we know that Jesus was born before the Passover of 4 B.C.

We have another clue about the time of His birth in the details of the father of John the Baptist. Based on the schedule of temple service of Zecharias and the fact that John was born six months before Jesus we can say that Jesus could have been born in either September or February because Zecharias could have served at two different times that are six months apart.

Christ was “about thirty years of age” when He was baptized (Luke 3:23; John 1:29-32). Right after His baptism, He was led into the desert fasting for 40 days (Luke 4:1-4). Shortly after this, the Passover arrived (John 2:13). Since February is closer to Passover than September of the previous year this would imply that Christ was born in February.

February of 4 B.C. was far enough away from the Passover of 4 B.C. that if Jesus was born in that year His family could have fled to Egypt and returned a few months later after Herod was dead so I vote for February of 4 B.C. as His birth date.

Since Jesus was “about thirty” when He was baptized and began His ministry, if He was born in 4 B.C. He would have began His ministry in the year 27 A.D. shortly after His birthday in February.

Daniel 9:24 said the anointed one would come 483 years after the decree to restore Jerusalem. King Artaxerxes made a decree concerning the rebuilding of Jerusalem, recorded in Ezra, chapter 7. This was in 457 B.C. If we count 483 years from 457 B.C., we come to the year of 27 A.D. (456 years of B.C. time plus 27 years of A.D. time with no year zero).
