....did society take some CRAZY PILLS?!
It's no secret there's been a slow eroding of morality within our culture. But within the past few years, it has just been like a runaway train.
Stories you'd never heard before are now making (almost) daily news, of kids killing themselves over bullying, the P-rez advocating *** marriage, the intense hatred of Christians (not just differing beliefs, but HATRED), the accepted "grey area" of "spirituality", sex before marriage is the rule not the exception, foul language is accepted now during conversation - becoming a type of slang instead of an expletive, abortions are an accepted form of birth control, and the list goes on. And on. AND ON.
I don't know how bad it was in Noah's day... But wow, we live in some foul, sin-riddled, nasty times. And the weird thing is -- everyone seems BLINDED to it! They're all blind! They see evil as good and good as evil. I know this is a sign of the times, but it's truly surreal to see this world through the lens of the Holy Spirit.
My husband and his geeky friends get together every Thursday to play games and they were all deliriously happy over the P-rez approving *** marriage, likening it to the civil rights movement, and how society has come so far to give equal rights and it's about **** time (using an expletive for slang), and some of these folks claim to know Jesus....
I feel like I need to give them all a copy of 1 John to read. No one is listening, and if you bring up the Bible, purity, morality, and *gasp* sins, they turn on you like a pack of rabid wolves!
I've gotten to the point where I don't say anything anymore. I live my life according to the Gospel, and I don't bother casting my pearls before swine any longer.
The enemy is giddy with glee, knowing his time is just about here. I truly think the forces of this dark world are ramping up their ranks in preparation for when the "evil" Christians leave this world. If it's this bad now, imagine what it will be like then...
It can't be too much longer now, it just can't. If not this year, I can't see going much beyond 5 or 10 more. Not if society is eroding at an exponential rate, not when sin is accepted with open arms and morality is thrown out the window.
Men's hearts are hardening, even now. It's so obvious. Even supposed "believers", who only follow a God they have invented themselves, not the God of the Bible. Which is, of course, an idol. They might CALL Him Yahweh, but it's not Yahweh. And I fear for these people. I really do.
Especially the people I love who do not believe. I can only hope and pray that as horrific as the Tribulation will be, that they will remember what I spoke about while I was here and turn to God with everything they've got.
"Unless a corn of wheat dies, it abideth alone. But if it dies, it bringeth forth much fruit." ~John 12:24
Unfortunately for these people, I really think it will take our death and/or ascension in the Rapture to really repent and believe. But then Heaven help them through the Tribulation...
