I don't know how to say it but in short:

1. I am really in doubt Jesus (Yahshua) will come this month of Av or Elul or even in 2012.

2. Even I am also in doubt He will come in 2013 or 2014.

3. However, I believe Jesus (Yahshua) will come someday because He has promised to come and He is faithful to do that.

4. Meanwhile because of point 1 and 2, I tend now to do earthly things and really want to trash all things of His coming in 2012, 2013 or 2014.

Now I have stated frankly what I am feeling now. I want to believe the other way but it is so difficult right now as I am deeply hurt by these all predictions. If I used all this time to do something else more productive than reading all "unreliable" predictions, I can accomplish more to my current works and studies and research. I have spent so much time reading all that "garbish failed predictions" and watching many of "youtube videos" that presenting this and that and put me in stressful condition instead of peace.

So, please pray for me that I would believe His coming is near again...

Gimel, I am so glad that you reached out and shared your heart.  I can feel your disappointment.  I've been disappointed, too.  I hope you won't mind me sharing a couple of things the Lord has been dealing with me personally with regards to our wait. 

I rarely share any more - because I don't have anything to share, but I love and pray for each of you.  Gimel, you may not have any idea of who I am, but I have been very blessed by your thoughts and sharing in the past.

I do think it is likely that He is coming soon.  I do not know what to think about Av, Elul, or RH.  My pastors would consider me able to hear from the Lord in the gifts, but I just don't know.  He has not told me timing except it is soon.  That is all.  I am careful where and how I share what He has told me and I check it by my elders, but...  He has not told me when.  

I love to read most words of prophecy or hear about dreams, but I think that putting much stock in them when we don't have 5 fold oversight runs the risk of  disappointment.  I just take the chance and sometimes I am really disappointed. 

One thing that the Lord shared with me when He woke me up to watching for His coming again was that I could reach out and fellowship and join in with the rest of the watchers on the internet, but that He wanted to make sure that I was faithful to stick also to the whole counsel of the Lord.  I have managed to do that in part.  I have not been perfect in it and I have had some hand slapping done recently to me for being a little lax and lazy about things that I have to take care of in this world and having a bit too much pride.  Who me?  Hmmm.  I wonder if maybe the Lord is just doing some adjustments and bringing you back full-bodied and bold into the things He has called you to do.  If He is speaking, then the enemy is likely causing confusion and doubt.  I'll bet he is also bringing accusations and pointing out your faults. 

I just think it is spiritual adjustment time.  I have meditated on some pride scriptures and I plan today to meditate on some "quit being so lazy scriptures".  I have my issues, friends.  I just think that maybe the Lord is just correcting your course a little.  I think He just wants some minor corrections.  Try not to allow the enemy to make you feel as though you have missed it somehow.  Just pick-up what you feel He is saying to start and get going. 

I do think we are leaving this old world soon.

One thing is that we are so, so running on grace for this life fumes.  Maybe it is that we are not in the Word enough to keep built up, but...  Maybe, it is that we are restless because it is time to go.  I remember almost 40 years ago hearing David Wilkerson preach on how the Lord told him it was time to move to the next place in Him.  He made David W. feel restless in his inner man.  I feel that.  It is time to move on.  Maybe we have more time here.  Maybe not.  I just encourage you in the Lord just to move in the direction that you see His eyes looking, don't let the enemy beat up on you and build yourself up in the Holy Spirit and in the Word of God.  Much love to you in Him and I will be praying for you, my friend.

Becka said many of the things I can agree with heartily.  The Lord did not tell us to watch this year, the next, or some other; He told us to watch always.  The only real question is how best to "watch."

Just serve the Lord with gladness and do not become emotionally invested in knowing the time from what anyone predicts.  It will happen one day and you'll be ready if you only draw close to Christ on a daily basis.

Praying for you brother, hang in there! Remember John in prison? and what did Yeshua tell him? look at the signs! From my perspective our sign is this: the world is a chess board that has run out of moves!

I too am feeling very weary from all of the false predictions. God has told me that He is sovereign and when He comes, He will be right on time. I have many unsaved family members so I figure every day the Lord is delayed is a day where one of them just might get saved. I think it all comes down to balance. The enemy wants us to be in shock and awe when he starts his rule of terror on the earth. He has been a liar from the beginning and some of the dire predictions were from him and not from the Lord. The rapture is coming soon but it will be in God's time. I thought that the Rabbi's prediction of the Lord coming in the month of Av would be true, but it doesn't look like it. Keep your chin up, every day is a day closer to our final destination.

I guess you're right, having relationship with Him is first and foremost. Abiding in Yahshua always and we will be ready regardless of the actual date. 

I think I was occupied with some persons who said that we should have some preparations, we should have food, shelters etc., we should act in the right time to prepare for that. I realized that kind of thought really disturbing me and makes me really watching the time instead of having a close relationship with the Lord.

It is good to hear that having relationship with Yahshua is first and foremost and the rest is nothing ... I think I will follow your advise and not thinking whether Yahshua will come today, tomorrow or next month or next year or next decade or after many years.

When I thought I was strong, I was wrong, because it is just a matter of time when this desperation of time prediction comes and occupies me. I should not feed my mind with all of those "scientific predictions". They thought it was "scientific" but it will put you in trouble when you're following it too closely.

I have learned my lesson of not relying on dreams of anybody and now I learned my lesson again not to rely too much of anything they said "scientific" for any reasons even the predictions are in range because it put me really relying on that instead of Jesus.

God YHWH blesses you all abundantly and bless Israel too ...

Hi Gimel Israel!  I just wanted to say that I get sad sometimes when a date passes that really makes sense to me.  The best advise I can give you is to ask the Lord to confirm His nearness and to refresh your excitement about His soon return.  Our Lord is so faithful!  I've said that prayer at least a dozen times in the past year and our Lord answers my prayers not once but every single time!  All you have to do is ask the Lord.  He's waiting for you to tell Him your concerns so he can prove Himself faithful again.  It's His will for you to watch and He won't let you down.  Just seek Him on everything and He will give you the desires of your heart.  Psalms 37:4.

I must admit the most disturbing information is the information that we should act and prepare like with food, shelters etc. as the chaos coming ... This kind of information really made me nerd as I watched carefully whether each event will change into chaos or not, whether I should witdraw money from bank or not, buy stock of food or not at that time. Frankly speaking, it made me tired a lot and weary.

Without that, I would not be worry a lot ... about what happens in this world ...

Waking up with sadness in my heart this morning, I can relate to what Gimel was struggling with yesterday.  With the cold reality that the much anticipated prophesy of the Rabbi's is not coming to pass, I am letting go of yet another failed date that did not materialize. 

But as I read through these responses once again, (and excellent advice given by everyone, by the way), two comments stood out for me personally, and gave me comfort.

Tx Thom~~Posts that are postulating convoluted reasoning for timing I skim at best because they don't seem to be worth the investment of my time in them. People and the Word I am willing to invest my time in because these are what I will spend eternity with. You included. You have eternal value to me.

I guess we have to bear witness to Christ in anything we do, not really care of whether he would come in 2012, this month AV or next month or 2013 or even 2014 or two millenia from now ...

Gimel, thanks for sharing this. I think many of us have felt this at times. I've been following the various 'words from the Lord', visions and convoluted calculations for some time and they all have one thing in common - they have all been wrong. I think the Lord gave us all a warning with Harold Camping in May 2011 but it seems many have not taken it to heart and continue to  date set. In his parable of the ten virgins, Jesus said that ALL the virgins slumbered and slept. If our interpretation is correct (and we may be mistaken) then it appears that even true watchers reached a point where they no longer expected Christ to return in the near future. Jesus spoke only about the signs of the times in respect to signalling His soon return - he didn't instruct us how to calculate a day or a year. Setting everything on a date simply sets you up to be disappointed as it says in Proverbs "hope deferred makes the heart grow sick". It can also make you think Jesus won't return unless it's a high watch date. We are all desperate for the Lord to rescue us from this wicked world but I think He will keep us here until the last minute so that we can be a witness to the world and explain from a Biblical perspective, what's going on and why. It seems that the tetrads of 2014 and 2015 are significant but up to now, most Christians have hoped that they are somehow connected with the mid-trib point. We have to consider the possibility that they could be a countdown to the tribulation. Taking all things into consideration, it is difficult to see how we could not be right at the end of the age with so much lined up for the perfect storm and it is frankly amazing that a middle east war has not already happened given that military experts were predicting war in December 2011 or by January 2012 at the latest. Clearly, the Holy Spirit, the restrainer, is keeping a lid on things but that could stop at any time and when it does, we are all out of here. As for dates, every Jewish feast has at some time been proposed as a rapture date and I'm sure people will continue to receive dreams and visions but if they can't be tested, they can't be trusted. God told Jeremiah to warn the people about dreams which "you caused to be dreamed". We could all still be here in 2013 but we could be gone tomorrow. It's very difficult to cope with the practical issues of life in this fallen world and at the same time be expecting to be snatched away any minute. May God give us all the grace and wisdom to occupy until Jesus comes to get us.

Thank you I'm Still Watching for your comments and advise, in the wake that month of AV has just passed and surely the validity of a Rabbi Kadduri's prophecy is really in doubt now, likewise all Mayan's , Itching's etc, even to the Catolics' prophecy of St. Malachi about Petrus Romanus now are in doubt.

This waiting game will not interrupt us if we play it safely but a lot of people thought we should play it hard like withdrawing money from bank thought to be collapsing, preparing food thought to be scarcely found, preparing first aids and even to guns thought to be needed in chaos and buying gold or silver? I didn't follow that for sure but at some point I did that, like preparing a little cash always in hands, preparing food just for two weeks and that's all what I did. But it needs a strong management of stocks or otherwise your food would be stinks ... remember this hoax of the coming has been there even from 2008 stronger in 2009 till now. Can you imagine what kind of food that would not deplete in 3 or 4 years? NONE!! so the point is that those 1or 2 year food should be depleted and replaced with the new ones ... and with nothing happens till today and with difficulties in employment many face today, it is absolutely ridiculous to do that. Some of the food are totally wasted by now as I myself don't want to eat my own "high preservative" food except in chaos or if I have to without choices. You know what I mean that I waste a lot of dollars for something seems "stupid" that I can use it for other better things even to advance the Kindom. This is the root of everything I said before. Not only that, not only money but also TIME is wasted so much for doing this stuffs instead of producing productive activities, helping others etcs. I couldn't imagine those people out there who are seriously preparing this or that because in my opinion I'm not a serious one but it has cost me a lot of money. How could be those out there who did this very seriously: it costs a huge bugs a lot of money!!!

Just thingking to reside in peace with the Lord is the best and I think that the only alternative to have peace not preparing food etc ... I want to stop that "useless" activities that costs me a lot of money if for someone like me that is not seriously doing that.

Thank you for the advice and I want to have close relationship with the LORD so that I will have peace deepen in my heart instead of fears along side of reading the news... thingking when it will explode ...when it will explode ... when and when ...

Gimel , i was a wreck , when i was watching the u tube videos

and i prayed about it , i dont watch many of them now because i know when i fear or get confused or even frustrated that God is not a spirit of fear , but power , love and sound mind ,

He is the sheapard and he will take good care of his precious sheep ;)

He also makeeth me to lie down in green pastures

meaning the sheapard sometimes has to force the sheep to lie down , they dont know where is the safe place , he uses his staff to lighty push on them so they know to lie down

sometimes the sheep are stubborn and wander away lol , remember HE wiill leave that whole flock to find ONE lost sheep ;)

He will send the Comforter the Holy Spirit to guide you Gimel
