I hope all y'all have a wonderful day. It is a blessing to have this holiday to forget for one day all that goes on around us.

Thanks, Maria and 4yhwh!

Happy Thanksgiving to both of you as well, and wishing everyone here at RitaN, a wonderfully blessed, and yummy day, surrounded by our loved ones, and filled with the joy of the Holy Spirit, with thanksgiving for all of the blessings the Lord has provided.
May the Lord richley bless all here, all of our family members, and loved ones. May the Lord bring unsaved family members and loved ones to Himself, through Jesus Christ our Lord. May the Father bless all of those whose family members are far away, and our Men and Service Women that are in harms way.
We thank you, Lord for the greatest blessing of all, in that You sent Your only Begotten Son, who was faithful unto death, even the death of the cross, and that He was victorious over sin and death, and rose on the third day. That through Him, we may be cleansed and come to you, and have ever lasting life. In Jesus' name, Amen!
Hugs and prayers,
Chris N.

Aw, thank you, Maria, for starting this thread! Happy thanksgiving to you, also.

God bless you, too, 4yhwh, and thank you for the beautiful prayer, Chris!
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!!

Thank You! I hope you all had a fab'tastic Holiday.
I certainly did with my family. Highlight of the Holiday was when my baby brother deep fried his first Turkey. It was crispy and blackened on the outside when he pulled it out of the fryer. We were all kinda worried.
BUT... It was sooooo moist and tender on the inside. The best turkey I've ever had.
I know he made my deceased dad proud today (He use to cook all the holiday meals.)
What was the Highlight dish or moment of you RITAN's day?

KAR, glad that you had such a blessed day with your family!

I went to one of my favorite restaurants to pick up the best turkey dinner that I ever had! For $9.95 I got turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes and gravy, cranberry sauce, yams, vegetables, garlic cheese bread, and a slice of pumkin pie. Delicious! I brought it home and sat in front of my TV and ate it. (I'm watching a Three's Company marathon right now.)

Kar, We ate well. Had both a turkey roulade and a Crown Roast Pork with the fixins. I will say pork is too lean these days and, if you don't brine the meat it won't be juicy and tender.
A blessed thing did happen as we sat down, there were 9 of us. My mom and husband are athiest/agnostic and a neighbor asked if a prayer could be said before eating. They all had this dumbfounded look on their faces. Since most of them were raised Catholic I said I would say the Catholic grace and, when I got to "Through Christ our Lord.....they all said Amen in unison! I was soooo happy. It is a start.
I am not shopping today I am cleaning my apartment before a busy work weekend, in preparation for my son to come down next week. I have not seen him in five months. He is 19 and I assure you my apartment will quickly get messy again once he is here!
I am glad y'all had a great day.
