A fisherman in British Colombia caught this shot of a young humpback whale leaping from the ocean. Just so you know, whales are a lot heavier than pigs and harder to get into the air. Look up everyone!

Lisa, you mean pictures other than a white snow bank in a snow storm? LOL
I just save the picture to my picture folder on my computer.
Then when I post, I go to the bottom here @ Upload files from my computer, click on browse.
A window will open where you can look in your computer's pictures file, find it and double click on the picture and the address for it should show in the Upload files from my computer line box.
Then click the upload box. That's it.
If the picture is too big, it might not load, I have run into that before here. For me pictures under 100 KB seem to work best.
I have a program on my computer where I can open pictures with "Paint" and that allows me to reduce/enlarge pictures. There are several other programs that do the same, if you double click to open one of your pictures, and then right click the picture, it should give you options to open the picture with, and then work with it.

Yes, it's actually a picture from Google that I was trying to post. I tried clicking on the "image" icon but that didn't work. Then I tried clicking on "paste as plain text" icon, and that didn't work either.
I appreciated Shomer Caleb's advice, but it didn't work for me.
I got used to the BB Codes. I like those better.
Lisa: I'm sure you know that if you right click on a photo you find on the web, a box will open to let you "save photo as" to save it to your computer. Some copywrited photos will save, but then not let you open or copy them.
I ran into that just last nite.
How are you doing, we seem to miss each other on here. In case you missed it, there is an awesome photo/story/video about a man and his 19 year old dog who has arthritis. He is in pain and can not sleep, so the man takes his dog swimming (he holds him) and the water lets the dog relax enough that he can go to sleep on his masters chest. As a side note there was a neat post on 5 doves about a man who had lost his wife recently, and now his dog was quite ill. One of those praying for the dog, prayed that it would hold on until the rapture! I thought that was so very neat. Be sure to watch the video, there is a short used car add first.
You can still use bbcode sis. The image box just makes it where people can copy and paste if they want to without having to type it out in the post. I used bbcode for the rapture pigs here:

Shomer Caleb, you're right, we keep missing each other. I really like fellowshipping with you. And thanks again for the instructions. To be honest, whenever I've clicked on a picture, I've just copied it...I never noticed about how you can save it on your computer.
About the video about the man and his dog....that really choked me up. I love animals so much. Tears run down my face whenever I see commercials about abused animals. Thanks so much for bringing that to my attention. I'm not able to have a pet of my own, but if I did, I know that I would adopt one from the shelter who had been abused and would pour out my love upon him. I believe that is what I am going to do in the millenium....I want to work in an animal shelter and take care of abused animals. That is something in my heart very strong.
I didn't see the Five Doves posts about the man who lost his wife and his ill dog. Is there any way that you can bring it up? I would love to read it. Thanks!

Shomer, when I right click on the url on the picture, my Internet Explorer doesn't give me the option to save it to my computer.

Edit to add: That image works; must be the picture location that doesn't allow it?
Try another location, or even something that's been posted.
In Internet Explorer, right click on the image. Look for "Properties" and open that up. You'll see "Address (URL)" Copy that and paste it in between [img] and [/img]
Edit to add: Never mind, Lisa. Sorry, I tried pasting in a location in IE and it won't accept it.

Caleb, thanks for finding that Five Doves post for me! I am going to start praying for Abbey right now. That poor man doesn't need two losses at once.

On the ones that didn't load for you, I went in, checked them, and got them fixed for you. Turns out they were double linked.
What that means is, when you post the picture's web address between [img] and [/img], if the web address is in blue writing with a line under it, it won't show up. When that happens, click "edit" to edit your post. Then highlight the blue web address between the "img's" and click the unlink button on the toolbar. The unlink button is the icon that looks like the world with the chain in front of it just to the left of the image icon on the toolbar. For some reason that happens sometimes.
As long as the web address is in black letters between [img] [/img] , then you're fine.

Verna, you must have read my mind! I was going to ask you how you posted my pictures. Yes, I've noticed that when the blue link came up, I was unable to post the picture. Your explanation made so much sense. I'm going to try and post a picture from Google....they always come up with the blue links, and I will try the unlink button and see what happens.

That whale looks H-A-P-P-Y!! The pigs look, well, surprised that they can fly! Where are the black and white pigs? I really like black and white pigs. Maybe they are the ones who went to the market? The pink pigs went in the rapture? And the baby pig....?????
Here ya go, Bride's Melody! You guys just need to all get Macs...lol. I wanted to try to follow the directions to post a picture, and discovered all I had to do was drag it over....gotta love Mac....
