Oh sis! Glad you're safe! Did it do any damage?
God Bless and Love,
Verna
I'm okay, Verna. Just shook me up. Thanks for your concern, sis.
You're welcome sis. It's cause I love ya!
Is this the first one of significance you've had in a while? I've never been through one, so I have no clue what it's like.
God Bless and Love,
Verna
I think we're all ready for something to happen ,too , and so when it starts , it will be "this is it" mentality. That's bound to shake us up, too.
Glad you're okay, Sis. No damage is good news for sure.
Love and Blessings and a special request to protect all RitaN members and their families in the days ahead, Father.
VC
Aw, thanks sis, I love you too!!
Actually, we had a couple of good ones last year. One of them was at Easter Sunday. It was the 7.2 Beja, California quake, and we felt it over here. I was in a restaurant with my friend, and the chandeliers were swaying back and forth before we bolted out of the restaurant with rubbery legs, LOL! The other one was also in March of last year at around 4:00 in the morning. I jumped out of bed, ready to run out the door when the house stopped jerking. That was a 4.4 point earthquake.
So glad that you've never experienced that, and I hope that you never will! It's really scary, because when it happens you don't know whether it's going to turn into the BIG ONE!!!!!
Thanks, Victory Chanter! It sure is a scary feeling, like I just said to Verna. Prayers would very much be appreciated.
Love and blessings to you too, sis!
I'm praying for ya sis! Please keep us posted on what's happening there. I added to the dog, kitten, and humor thread so maybe you can go there and get a smile to take your mind off of it for a minute.
God Bless and Love,
Verna
Verna, you know me well! The Lord has gotten me through some hard times with humor. That always works with me. I'll go over to that thread right now, thanks, sis!
Lisa I also am so glad to hear that it was only a small tremor!! There are only 15 days left till we get to the next 188 day interval earthquake cycle!! According to the my study that was put into graphics on the Luis Vega website!
That was originally based on the alignments of Comet Elenin with the sun and the earth!! But since Elenin is breaking up it may no longer have any effect! That is if Elenin is behind this alignment phenomena or is it based on some other object out there near elenin!
September is sure to be a very prophectic month for all us watchers!! Lisa I am praying for your health to improve; I am going through some spiritual dryness right now so I am having to discipline my soul very much lately; my spirit man is having to take a back seat on some occassions; but I aim to reverse the order of this chain of command!
as the song goes..."theres a whole lotta shaken going around"
Hey Scott, thank you for your prayers! Believe me, I am very nervous about September 15th. I'm afraid that Los Angeles (Translation: The Angels) is going to be the next target on the ring of fire. Check out Psalm 40's thread where he has a video giving you and Luis Vega credit for his findings. It is an excellent video, and he compiled the information very well, and added a few of his own findings as well.
There sure is, Mike!!
I'm in Orange County - didn't feel anything. My son works in Santa Monica, I will see if he felt it.
We are forbidden at work to discuss "anything religious" lest our job be in jeopardy. So, when others heard that there was a tremor in LA, I just brought up the fact...
Did you know that there have been 188 days between each major quake in the ring of fire? I am a manager of 35 employees so I have to be careful what I say. When they questioned it, I told them to google "188 days between earthquakes".
That takes them to sites describing end times events and RITA Now is ranked #2 for that search term. I pray that many will click and be lead by God to ask questions.
Look Up - I'll see you all soon.
WOW Faithfulservant that is the best news to hear that RITA Now is the 2nd best website to read about endtime events!!
Many of us do not realize that when we post messages on the messageboard any one in the whole world can google our messages by just using a few key topic words in their search box!
Lisa I looked at the video by Psalm40 and it was awesome! I was very humbled! I told my neighbor about Luis Vegas to show him his profile and to prove to him that we are not idiots who set around all day picking ticks off each other and grooming our egos!Hee! Hee!
Lisa I also said that if another big earthquake comes to California there will first be a warning quake followed by a small tusuni; and then sometime thereafter a big earthquake!
This was a word of the Lord I found that even gave a September month as the time for the earthquake but it was given back in 2010 before that month of September! Who knows it could be for this year!!
Verna,
Earthquakes are like people. Their are different types. Having lived in Southern California for my entire life, I have lived through several earthquakes ranked 7.0 or higher. Thankfully not at the epicenter of any of them though. There are rolling earthquakes where it feels like your house is on rollers. There are rumbling earthquakes where everything shakes like a freight train driving just by your house. There are sharp earthquakes where everything takes a sharp jolt as if a giant suddenly shoved against your house.
Some last seconds, some last minutes. The long ones seem to go on for a long time. Sometimes it just causes cracks in the paint. Sometimes it causes cracks in the walls or foundation. So it's a hard call sometimes. It really depends how close you are to the epicenter, whether you are near a major faultline, whether the earthquake is near the surface or deep underground. Many here in California are kinda blase about earthquakes unless it is 7.0 or higher. Then its run for the hills....LOL.
I'll tell you a funny story. During the Silmar quake of '73 I was a young boy. Me and my brother shared a bunk bed. I was on the top bunk, he was on the bottom. Sometimes he would shake the bed by shoving against the posts. So when this earthquake hit I thought it was just my brother doing it. When I told him to knock it off and the shaking continued I got out of bed to tell my parents what he was doing. Only to come out and see the lamps swaying crazily and the floor moving. I was sure my brother was faking to be asleep, but no he really was asleep. I had to go and wake him up as well as gather my sisters outside where it was a little bit safer.
Thanks for explaining it KM. That sounds nerve rattling! First with them coming out of nowhere, then with not knowing what type or how strong. Wow! There's a lot of factors there that have to be considered. I'd be headin' for the hills at a .5 Hahahahaha!
at you thinking your little brother was shaking the bed, and at your little brother for sleeping during it!
God Bless and Love,
Verna
Just got here! Praying for you Lisa...your nerves if nothing else! Remember He will never lose you. He has you in the palm of His big, safe hand!
Thank you for your prayers and comforting words, Destiny! I appreciate that.
Knight Michael, you must have nerves of steel, bro, because I've lived in California all my life and I am anything but blase about earthquakes. Every time an earthquake hits, I feel like running out the door screaming, "This is it! Hit the bricks!"
Funny story about you and your brother!!
And Faithful Servant, thanks for letting us know that RITAN is number 2 in the ranks! Out of curiousity, which one is number one?
Scott, so glad you heard that great video by Psalm 40.
LL, it is "funny" that we were talking about divine protection in earthquakes yesterday and you experienced one just a few hours later. I thought about my experience last week with our Virginia earthquake. I'm a telecommuter and I was speaking to another worker at that time. She said that I had just remarked to her, "I don't want to alarm you, but..." Then the earthquake hit. I didn't remember until she reminded me asking me how I knew the earthquake was about to hit.. I didn't know but was going to tell her to listen to the weather since they were saying that Irene might come our way. Isn't that a hoot! When it hit, I had no clue at first what the sensation was. Then I heard my soprano voice get very low as I blurted out that we were having an earthquake. Then I heard myself say to her in a rather horrified sounding voice, "What do we do...? Oh, run to the door frame." As I got up to run, the rocking had mostly stopped. In my mind all I could think was, "Lord, this can't be happening here, and is it serious, and what should I do?" Well, I found out that I should run outside if it happens again. Then I have read that one should try to find a triangular space near the wall or beside a bed and try to fit your body in that space. Good thing I am on a diet.
Anyway, even though I sounded alarmed, I was actually feeling such peace. His grace is there for us. Our precious Holy Spirit is our very real Comforter. My heart is so amazed that we are still here. I never would have believed that I would be experiencing these things; I thought I would be gone before these things happened. Soooo.... On Tuesday last week the Lord rocked me gently with an earthquake and then on Saturday He let me go through a hurricane with full electrical power, plenty of food and water and AC watching the news on my big screen and playing on my computer and talking with friends. Birthpains are so stressfull - just a little note of levity. It is a serious time and I know people are loosing their lives. I just wonder; though, what is on the agenda for this next week? Well, peace, joy and comfort to all of you. Keep praying up and looking up and I'll see you soon.
I've only been in a rolling quake that was so strong the teacher screamed at us to get under our desks. But we never got that far as it stopped.
In Guatemala we felt several - all the rolling/rocking type and smaller than my first one as a teen.
You just stand there and rock with the motion, trying to keep your balance. I never felt fear in them I think because I just sense a protective cover in the Lord. I had two different unexpected and frightening car accident situations way back where I sensed a sudden protective shield, and I think that engrained trust within me that God is definitely in control. So Lisaleenie, meditate on the truth that God knows every hair on your head, and if that is important to Him, how much more important His protection of you. Not to mention His angels who are assigned to guard over you.
I know it is not pleasant to be in them, but believe the Lord for the nearness of His presence and the shelter of His wings to protect you even in the midst.
Lord, should Leenie experience any more quakes, draw near to her Father because she draws near to You. Quicken her Lord as to what to do, where when and how, and order her steps in Your great wisdom. We plead the blood of Jesus over her home, and over all that concerns her, and over all our members, all saints, and one's who will be saved. Lord, our times are in Your hands, and may the peace that passes all understanding be Lisaleenie's and grow from this day forward, because her faith hope and trust is complete in You, in Jesus mighty name, so be it!
Rachel, you're right, we just talked about that yesterday, didn't we? What a timely conversation we had! It looks like the Lord was right there with us in that conversation, knowing that we would have a mild earthquake over here that would leave me shakey. God is so good. Awesome that you went through that earthquake, then Irene with full electrical power and AC, and your TV and computer working!! ! Thanks, sis, that was comforting to know, and a wonderful personal testamony on how the Lord takes care of us.
Kolleen, you are always the voice of reason. I always treasure the advice you give me because it is full of wisdom. Thank you for reminding me that the Lord is here to take care of me, that He counts the hairs on my head, and that I have angels protecting me. And thank you for your prayers for me. Wonderful that you went through earthquakes with no fear and through 2 car accidents with a peace in your heart. Awesome testamony.
Come to think of it, recently I had a car accident where I completely ran down a handicap sign, and plowed into a parked car with no injury to me, and minimal damage to my car. However, the parked car looked like I totaled it. (Thank God there was no one in the car.) The poor girl who owned the car was crying when she saw the damage, because it was so banged up that she had to have it towed. I'm not sure if her car was totaled or not, but I drove my car home for 15 miles with no problem. He took care of me, also. No whiplash or injury to me at all, expect for a sore collarbone for a couple of days. So you're both right, the Lord does take care of me! Thank You, Lord.
So what am I afraid of?
Don't you have another place where you could go to for the month of sept.? I would be terrified to stay anywhere in california knowing what we know!
so glad you are okay after that parking lot mishap (i've had a few of those as well).
i'm on the east coast so i do not know about earthquakes. the one several days ago, i did not feel. i was in walmart with my daughter buying school supplies. however, most people i know felt it and some heard it, describing it as a groaning sound. it makes you realize with that and all the tornadoes, flooding, fires, hurricanes we have all read about lately, none of us are in control. anything could happen in a split second. just pray for God to keep a hedge of protection around you and your property.
i will also keep you in my prayers. i wonder how many of us have prayed for God to have mercy on and with hold his wrath on our nation until after the rapture? seems like it has been frequently for me,and becoming a constant prayer/plea. Thank God we will not have to stress about these things much longer. We are truly blessed. Be safe, and I will keep you in my prayers.
It's so funny that you mentioned that Andrearoma, I was thinking that exact same thing, LOL!!
Thank you for your prayers, Martha. You're always so supportive. I appreciate that so much. And praise God that you're not over here in earthquake country! But I am going to try and think positive and pray for God's mercy until after we're gone, and pray for those who are left behind.
Not meening to scare or anything.. but did you happen to see my 7.8 earthquake dream I had?
Oh, oh. No, Meowcat, I don't think so. I'll go and look for your post right now.
