Just wondered who may have remembered the stories of the hitchhiker who upon entering a picker-upper car would tell the driver that Jesus was coming really soon? Then the hitchhiker would disappear in the car after saying that. Whenever the story was told it seemed to have such an authenticity. I am not questioning whether it did or did not happen, but I am wondering if there are such stories out there that are still continuing? Thought someone here might have knowledge of events such as this one that went on for a number of years. The supernatural is always so interesting and exciting! Like to watch Sid Roth, too!
Does anyone remember this....(18 posts) (12 voices)

Bump, please! Thought surely someone out there would remember!
I always thought that was a Christian urban legend. Unless you're talking about the clean looking homeless guy with the grey beard who talked to people in restaurants. For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. Gal 3:27
Hi there Vicki. I remember the story but I haven’t heard of any like it of late.
Thank you for your responses.
I very vaguely remember the guy with the gray beard in the restaurants. So many things are happening in these last days and wondered about the hitchhiker again. I thought it was just a legend too.
No one picks up a hitchhikers anymore because they are afraid of being murdered. The world we live in now is a world of fear, it i so sad. People are afrais to stop and help their fellow man. God Bless all and see you in the air soon.Look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near. — Luke 21:28
Several years ago (in the 90's) it happened to a pastor's wife here. She was audibly told to pick up the hitchhiker - something she would never, ever do. He gave his message and disappeared. Have not heard of any lately, though. Perhaps because there is so much fear about hitchhikers these days, the messenger may now be the homeless man.
Vicki I remember in the early 70's having to work at night as janitor in a resturant and sometimes I would hitchhike my way home on the road out front-times have truly changed!
I remember the story of a young man who was on his way home one night and his car broke down. A man came to help him, and vanished. The next night or week, he was working alone and got locked outside his office or something, and again the man appeared or disappeared, but I don't remember the rest or where I heard it.
God Bless and Love,
Then they asked him, “What must we do to do the works God requires?”
Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.”
JIM BRAMLETT had that on his site and may still have or he can find it for you . Go To 5 Doves and ask him on Latter Day Letters (Feb.)
That happened in ATLANTA , GEORGIA . On the spaghetti bowl (frwy).
hope this helps , bbJesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?” — John 11:25-26
I responded to a thread about being visited by angels with a incident that occurred in front of my old apartment complex in 2008.
It was on a very narrow dead end street with just enough room for one car at a time. I turned the corner onto my street and there was a man in a wheelchair directly in front of my access gate. In front of him was a very large truck. We were deadlocked because of the man in the wheel chair. After pausing to decide who should go first the big truck got impatient and swerved around the man nearly hitting him.
I became very upset thinking to myself "how rude, this man is disabled at least we have mobility." Just then the man in the wheelchair turned to look at me and said "Are you waiting on me?" I responded and I dont know why I responded this way because it was the oddest thing to say to a stranger I said " No rush, I could wait on you all day."
At that moment I thought I should give this man a ride. Not considering how dangerous that could be. I only considered at the time I drove a SUV to fit his wheelchair and I would call someone and tell them if he was going far. I asked "do you want a ride?"
He replied "No, I do this all the time, all over the world, Im running in a race."
Now this man had on a business suit, (in TEXAS HEAT) he was sun kissed tanned with the most piercing hazel eyes and long blonde dreadlocks. I said "Okay, are you sure?"
He smiled and rolled away.
I pulled into my parking space and walked toward my house. Thinking heavily about the man. I bent down to tie my shoe and it hit me. I looked up and saw gold sparkles, gold flakes all around my face. I ran back to the street and I could'nt find him anywhere. I jumped in my car and drove around. He was gone. He was disabled in a wheelchair on a narrow dead end street. There were'nt too many places he could've gone. I already knew. I just knew and I know that I will see him again.
This isnt a Christian myth... my yes is yes and my no is no.
I told the truth when he asked a"re you waiting for me?"
Jesus... "I could wait on you all day."
Still waiting.Exodus 3:14 i am who I AM... I AM (Yaweh)sent me and you.

I just went there and read it again .
I love that story by the way ! Saw it first on Five Doves .
Be sure and read all of them ...miraculous !
Beautiful experience you had, KAR. Thanks for sharing, sis.
Vickie, have you ever read Vincent Tan's experience with angels? Here is the website of some of them:“Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.” — Philippians 1:6
Bonnie and Lisa, thank you ladies so much for that link! Vincent Tan's stories are the one's I was remembering!
God Bless and Love,
Me too, Verna! The $2.34 story at the gas station is my favorite one. Would sure love to know exactly the significance of those numbers, wouldn't you? It's like the beginning of Charity's 5,6,7, JESUS! Like...2,3,4,5,6,7 JESUS!
Hummmm....I just thought of something. Speaking of countdowns, I remember Charity had her 5,6,7 Jesus vision in April of 2009. I wonder if that was a 3 year countdown to April 2012 for our departure? Wouldn't that be great?
I really would like to know too sis! And I'd love $2.34 gas to fill up my tank...
That would really be interesting if that's how it worked sis as far as the countdown. That's some food for thought!
God Bless and Love,
Sometimes the Holy Spirit tells you to help someone. I learned not to ignore promptings to help even if it seems odd. At times God uses his children to answer prayers.
Always pray first to make sure that this is what you are to do.
