My dear friend Irene told me yesterday that her daughter told her that her doctor said that she has Stage 2 ovarian cancer and that she only has a year to live. She has a husband who's devestated and has two little children. Irene is heartbroken herself. Her daughter just recently moved to Texas, and Irene is not able to see her like she used to when she lived near by, so this is hard for everyone. Irene is going to fly up to Texas when her daughter has her hysterectomy to be by her side and take care of her.

Her daughter's name is Isabel. Please pray for a miracle of healing for her.

Dear Needle me, His New Creation, and Verna, thank you all so much for your prayers for Isabel!

Needle me, I e-mailed my friend Irene and asked her if Isabel is a born-again Christian, and she forwarded my e-mail to her daughter and asked her to answer that question. Thank you for bringing that up! Hopefully, we will get a response soon. When I asked Irene if Isabel was saved, I told her that I knew that Isabel believed in God, but wasn't sure if she asked Jesus into her heart as Lord and Savior.

His New Creation, thank you, that's exactly what I told Irene....that God is a God of miracles.

praying for irene and isabel to be at peace about this. when she goes into the surgery, i pray that they will find no cancer. doctors are wrong and miracles happen every second of the day. and most of all, i pray she is saved or will come to know Jesus this very day. keep us posted.

Isabel never answered her mother's e-mail whether or not she had accepted Jesus into her heart or not, but there is a good chance that she isn't saved. Please pray for that, also. Irene talked to her daughter today and her daughter said that the doctor told her that it is a very aggressive cancer and is spreading very quickly. So time is in the essence!

Dear heavenly Father, please remember Isabel and her needs. Please take this opportunity Lord to show forth Your great and mighty power. You alone are able, Lord. Praying for Isabel's complete healing - that it come quickly and that there be no damage to any part of her body. That the Lord give her and her family complete peace and rest and total confidence in Him.

That she would know the Lord as her Savior and deliverer, as His child. Thank you Lord for Isabel's complete rest and healing, In Jesus' name, amen.

Just to give you all an update: Isabel just e-mailed me about my question whether she has asked Jesus into her heart, and she said that she believes in God, doesn't go to church, but is a Christian.

I e-mailed her back and shared with her my conversion experience when I was 18, and told her that before that, I was "religious", believed in God, prayed to Him, did sacrfices for Him on Lent, but WAS NOT A CHRISTIAN until I was convicted of my sins by the Holy Spirit, felt the weight of that, and asked Him to forgive me, and invited Him into my heart as Lord and Savior. I also shared with her that it is His blood that cleanses us from our sin, and not our good works, and Jesus is the only way to heaven.

Please pray that the Lord will minister my words to her, and if she has not asked Jesus into her heart, that she will do so.

Thank you so much for your prayers, Martha! Actually, my friend is Irene (who's already a Christian), and Isabel is her daughter who is the one with the cancer, and who I'm concerned about her salvation. I'm sorry if I was unclear on that in my last post.

Anyway, thanks again for your prayers and your support in my witnessing to Isabel. Witnessing is not a strong area with me, so that's why I am asking that the Lord uses my words to touch her heart.

Lisa I will be praying for Isabel and Irene both as they will need the Lord in this situation like never before; I will pray that they use the time they have together to bond and find the Lord as their only help in sickness and in health!

Lisa I have two neighbor girls who are both having to take time out of their busy lives and from their jobs to take care of their ailing parents-their folks are getting that age where they do not have many years left on the earth; one girl already lost her mother real close to mother's day; while the other has an ill father that keeps having to go into the hospital off and on!

I am helping out on the yard work at this one neighbors parents house-and I will be saying some prayers for both these parents as they get closer to the end of their lives!

I know what it is like to have your parents go down hill in front of you and have to take care of them as they near the time of breaking free from that golden cord!

I pray for these neighbors that they will find the Lord and have strength to go through this time in their lives when they have to use all the mental and physical resouces they have to helping their ageing parents!!

Father we pray over Isabel, for her salvation, Lord awaken her soul to the Light of eternal Life, may she sense the stirring of the Holy Spirit drawing her to the gospel Truth and Grace of Jesus Christ.

Father we cry out to You, Mighty God to save ~~may Isabel be moved to seek the assurance of Christ's Mercy . . cause Isabel to turn to You, Jesus, ~~~ save her, we pray . . . .
Awaken her to the Reality of eternity with You, Jesus, cause Isabel to know she may be given the Spirit of Heavenly invitation to worship You, Father, in the power, of Christ's love ..

Send forth Your divine miracle healing over Isabel, for You are a healing God . . Father give strength to Irene, may she sense at the Throne of God, the Great Glory of God, and His reception of prayers amidst the winds of Heavenly Billowing movement of the Cherubim angels as they continue to shout out to God, Holy, Holy, Holy, . . .

Dear Lord, I just want to take this time to pray for Isabel. Lord, Your word says by Your stripes we are healed. Isaiah 53:5. I believe in this promise, stand on this promise and claim this promise for Isabel in the name of Jesus Christ. Lord, thank you for healing her physically,emotionally and spiritually until she has a complete recovery. Thank You Lord... thank You Lord... thank You lord. We love You Lord. I also pray that You will strengthen her family and help them to have Your thoughts and not their own. Amen.

I had a cancer scare myself a few years ago with two little kids and a scared husband. Praise the Lord it turned out to not be cancer. My heart goes out to this family. I will be praying for them!

Father,

You know when we hear the word "cancer" we freeze up and our minds start working against us. It's unknown territory and we've heard all these scary stories. But we also know you and your promises to us. I pray for Irene that your surrounding love will free her from such stories that cause fear. That her belief and trust in you overcome satan's work in this area. Strengthen her with Holy Spirit power as she prepares to enter the spiritual battle arena to help her daughter. Provide the armor and the right Word to pray. May she wield it efficiently clearing out demon connections to this illness. May Mother and Daughter grow in this moment and spend memorial time together appreciating each other as they fight the good battle of faith and grow into the Lord sure of Isabel's salvation in the process.

We pray for Isabel claiming her for the Kingdom of God as we pray. We declare you are Lord of Isabel's life and her well being is yours to heal and overcome this disease in her life. Lead her to salvation in you and heal her of cancer. May they witness miracles as you restore health and wholeness once again. Give her the strength and will power to overcome and defeat this enemy attacking her body. Give the Drs. wisdom in knowing the proper and best treatment for success.

May both ladies be able to look back one day and see your protection and provision throughout this whole process. Lift their spirits and make melody in their heart to praise you for this expected healing. We ask this in the name of Jesus. Amen

I just can't believe that a doctor would do that in front of children. It floors me that he didn't have the forethought not to discuss medical matters in front of the children, but also that he made it sound so definitive to Isabel and her husband. That doctor doesn't know. Only God knows when it's our time. It says that plainly in Acts 17:26

From one man he made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live.

I'm so glad that the other doctor did what he did! And I'm so glad that Isabel found out about it and switched to him! I agree with you sis that this was God appointed!

I thought that was awful for the Dr to say when I read that. It's unprofessional. I hadn't realized this was in front of her children, too! I'm so glad she has switched Drs.

Praise God Irene can feel the power of the prayer support behind here.

I have a friend whose husband has cancer. They are now seeing their third Dr. The second Dr said the first was too harsh in treatment as hubby was responding nicely and didn't need all that was being done which
made him violently ill. Now they just want a second opinion. It turns out Dad, the f-i-l has now been diagnosed with cancer, too. After hearing Dad's Dr's plans for treatment, they want to see if he agrees with the 2nd Dr. If so, they will feel better about the differences between the Dr's recommendations. Mom died of cancer, too. Sure looks like it's genetic. Father and son are now both battling cancer. It appears it's blood issues for both though more testing is to happen with Dad to better pinpoint the source.

We can all learn from this to get several opinions when seeking treatment. Trust in the Dr is vital.

I stand in agreement with all the prayers. Equip Lisaleenie with all she needs to minister to her friend and her daughter. Also, I pray for Irene, that she is strengthened in this time. May she lean on you Lord, her rock and may You bless her, comfort her and assure her you are in control. Lord, I pray you intervene mightily on behalf of this family. Show Isabel your salvation. Reveal your mighty Arm to her. God, heal her and comfort her family. Give them all assurance of eternal salvation. We know you are able Lord and if you are willing, make her whole.
