There's a long back story that I can't get into, but the short version is that my family and I have had the enemy mess with us really badly in the past concerning our land. I battled fear for a long time after the situations were over. I finally reached a place of peace about it several years ago, but now the enemy is trying to hit us in the area of our land again.
Everyone in our addition has lived here for a long time. A new person bought land recently, and doesn't like the land restrictions that everyone had to agree to at the time of purchase. (This person won't live on the land either like the rest of us.) The restricitions don't allow businesses of anykind on the land, along with no trucks, no pipe yards, etc. The restrictions were put in place because of the oilfield presence here to keep our addition as residential as possible because we live out in the country with no city rules. By the wording of the ammendment this person sent us and from what we've learned, they want to change the restrictions to allow trucks access to all of our properties, to open up this addition to oilfield businesses, and to open a water station which could deplete our water table.
There is other property adjacent to our addition where another owner has allowed oilfield presence, and it's changed a lot of things out here. They have tankers on their property all the time that shine their lights in our bedroom windows every 2-3 hours all night long, kick up caliche, and we've had a ton of problems with the oilwells out here; blowouts, explosions, gas leaks, etc. All of this came to our area 8 years after we moved here. It was very peaceful beforehand. We deal with what has already been done, but this change in our restrictions would allow it to be right in our backyards. This person has already retained an attorney, and I pray that we don't have to retain one ourselves.
I ask all of you to please pray that God will protect our land that He has given to all of us here in this addition, and that He will bless us all in spite of the enemy trying to take the peace from our lives.
God Bless and Love,
FW
Then they asked him, “What must we do to do the works God requires?”
Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.”
