Well, the writing is in the memo. I did my supervisors job all summer while the office hired a new person. She's been in the position for a month now and she issued a Memo to me yesterday that is vague and accusitory regarding my interaction with others in the office (mostly saying she 'had been told', not that she 'witnessed'). For the past month I have kept my head down and not been involved in the office politics to try to rise above the mismanagement and just do my job, so this was a big surprise yesterday. Management has been threatened by me for the past few years and after the office Bully hired a friend of his wifes, who is a very bad employee, I have been the focus of all that is unpleasant in my office. I am sending a letter to the Heads above my office but the letter will likely get me fired too as I am calling out the inappropriate hiring. I don't know how we will manage if I get fired but I trust HE will watch over my family. My husband only has a part time, occational job in disaster recovery. More than anything I want to accept HIS will. I do not see how any good can come to the situation at this point. Today I have called in sick because my eyes are so swollen from crying. I have tomorrow off for my 50th birthday. Not really much to celebrate now. I had a dream a couple weeks ago that I got fired, then one of my sisters who worked for 20 years for a school as the bookkeeper was fired the next week. I thought the dream was about her but now I am seeing it was me. I am praying that this letter I am sending today is helpful in that the higher ups at my employment will take a harder look at what is going on in my department but I am the only person in my office that does not hold a degree...And I work in a graduate degree program. I really don't stand a chance. I know I am not alone, there are so many people without work and trying to get along on nothing but faith. Please keep me in your prayers today. Praying for you Ruthie! If this happens I am sure our Lord will have a better job for you! Praying that His will be done in this and that you will be filled with His peace, Amen in Jesus name!

Happy Birthday! Don't let the devil rob you of your joy. Your job is a resource. God is the source. He can do anything, and if He allows you to lose your job, it is because either it will not matter as we will be in heaven soon or He has something better for you.
Having said that, I know it is next to impossible not to be worried sick. But God can fill you with peace, and I am praying that He does. I pray that you will be happier and more at peace than you ever have before.
God probably wants to take you out of such a bad environment. I have sensed through your posts that you are much too good for that job and that atmosphere. God had a blessing for those people through you, but they didnt want it. Well, what others mean for bad, God will turn it into a very large blessing for you. Just wait and see!

Lord, protect your Ruth! As in the story of Ruth, things became frightening and she lost everything. But when all looked the darkest she had a Kinsman Redeemer heading into her life! Father, we don't know what you have in store for our last-days Ruth. But You haven't changed...You are still that Kinsman Redeemer. And You own the cattle on a thousand hills. Give her Your peace as HisBeloved's song says. Show her that You are guiding her, even if it doesn't look like it. Your love is unquestioned, but sometimes we're afraid we miss Your direction. I love you all. HE knew I needed you and I am not alone! I do look forward to the change that this will bring. I feel like this is trivial compared to when we lost our business of 25 years then our house, all of our savings, 11 years ago. Then I had nowhere to turn and few that prayed with me. Your love is my blanket and I will not let anything threaten my hope. I am baking you all my famous Chocolate Chip cookies when we get to Heaven! I won't have to worry about the cost of the chocolate! And I am guessing that my oven in Heaven will open all the way (my current oven is blocked by a radiator so that it only opens half way). Sometimes God works in mysterious ways. Maybe He is taking you out of this horrible environment because He has more in store for you. Won't it honestly be a relief to be away from these selfish and dishonest people? God will find you a better job, perhaps one that will surround you with fellow believers or one where you can be a light to others instead of having to hide your light around such darkenss. O Ruthie, bless your heart. You bring tears to my eyes. I know without a doubt GOD will take care of you and your family.
I would like to share a little something. I'm retired from nursing but still held a current KY license. I had to decide whether to renew by Oct 31st, the deadline for renewing. I was getting panicky from indecision. Last Thursday morning I asked my Bible study ladies for prayer re this matter. When I went to bed the night of the 30th I was awake in the middle of the night with my answer from GOD. He revealed to me that all along He is my source. I was thinking about renewing in case GOD didn't take care of me then I would have a backup plan for income! Yikes & Wow! The next day, the 31st, such a burden was lifted from me. So, I just happily let the license expire.
I know you and your family have been thru a lot. GOD loves all of you so very much. It's hard to see clearly in the midst of such worrisome circumstances. When we put GOD first in our lives He takes care of everything else.

I know what your going through. My last job became a very bad enviroment to work in, it was affecting me mentally, emotionally and spiritually. I was the only one standing up for the Lord and I became a threat to them. Many things occurred over time and it was taking its toll on me. I tried so hard to make it work and made sure I would start the day of with the Lord and it still was a very bad place to work. The company was under a lot of pressure to stay in buisness and was loosing money every week. They started cutting our pay, hours, vacation, and paying us on credit. I was with them for 2 1/2 yrs and was very good at my job but it just got to the point of having to resign. I've been out of work for over 3 months now and even though I'm not employed right now, I'm so glad I left that place, I really don't regret it at all. There comes a time when you can only take so much and I know the Lord understands that.
I will be praying for you and I know that God has all things in His hands, just continue to trust Him and I know He will work all things for the good. We are in the home stretch of this late hour we live in, so it won't be long before we go home and not have to deal with this fallen world anymore.

Ms. Ruthie, I'll wrap my prayers around you like big ol' warm fuzzy blanket and a super tight hug. May the Lord protect you and provide for you and your family. Trust the Lord and have no fear. He knows exactly what youre going through and He's steps ahead of you preparing a way for you. Take it day by day and dont overwhelm yourself with worry.
Please do you best to enjoy your Anniversary tomorrow. That's what I call Birthdays. Why? Because everyday the Lord wakes us up is our Birthday and it's a special day with family, friends and even with cake and ice cream if you want.(My fav excuse to eat it on a reugular basis lol) But on the day you were born years ago, is a major celebration and life milestone. So celebrate your birthday today and tomorrow wake up excited about what the next year of life will bring you. Your best gift is ahead of you. So keep your head up and walk into your next destiny. Since I had the dream a couple of weeks ago regarding being fired, 4 times I have randomly hit Nehemiah 4:1. Last night when I was in such fret, I again turned to this when asking for guidance. Am I am being guided to 4:4 "Hear us, O our God, for we are despised." ? Does anyone have thoughts on this?

Ruthie, I am so sorry. Company loyalty and faithfulness not to mention willingness to do what is needed anymore is no longer valued. It sounds like this woman is insecure and feels threatened by you.
A degree is only part of a need. I'd take the committed worker with values and skills any day over a degreed person but I'm not in a position to hire. They will miss you. They don't know what they are doing--as you said 'mismanagement". That sums it up nicely.
God needs you, loves you, values you. He can do all things. I pray you land on your feet with a better paying job and where you will be appreciated. And if were as close as we think to the rapture you may not need another job.
Happy birthday Ruthie. I hope you can celebrate doing something you want to do and enjoy.

Ruthie, I am so sorry dear sister! Seems that many of God's chosen are being stringently tested in Faith these last few years. Maybe these "hardships" are OUR final test of Faith...since He has chosen to keep us all from His wrath. The remaining Trib years...will be the "test of Faith" for all those who chose there own path.
Although, this doesn't exactly take away all the fear & anxiety...as I too am experiencing your same distress (monetarily & health-wise). I just keep relying on this verse...

When you are in the middle of a storm as God's child on this earth thats a really intense and stressful time but just look back at all the hard times how God has brought you through and know that this too shall pass. Pain is temporary at least here on earth. Hang in there and whatever you do do not crumble. Keep it moving. We are so close to the end finish strong.

It's going to be all right . You don't have to figure it out...your God who is for you CAN DO ALL THINGS. Nothing is impossible with Him! Receive the peace He has for you . God is your Keeper and knows how to keep you well. I know it's a very stressful thing you are going through but try to stay focused on the Lord being with you through it all ....because He is with you. And many are praying for you. I am praying for you, and I know it's going to be all right. Our Lord is coming soon. He will keep you safe and well until He gets here if you're trusting Him to do that. I know you trust Him....Whatever happens will work out for your good. The Lord promises that in His word and He cannot lie.

Got suspended from work today on a lie. The muslim co-worker who doesn't like me lied and said that I yelled an expletive at her (4 times) in the ladies room. It is not true but they took her word for it and suspended me from work for 3 days, no pay. I went into work this morning with no knowledge of this so needless to say, I am beside myself right now. I can file a grievance when I return - huh, really? Fighting a lie....I've known they want me to quit....but they know I rarely curse and if I do, it's very mild. Would not use that kind of language that is charged in the letter given to me today.....I don't know what to say now....I do need some encouraging for sure.

You are in my prayers, dear sis. That is so very unfair! One important thing: Pray for them that are doing this to you.Do you have a resume ready to circulate? I think the signs are pointing to your getting out of there, don't you? I know you have to be justifiably angry with the situation and you probably are experiencing a multitude of emotions.
See for me, I would be so angry that I would use this time to network and see what's out there because I wouldn't want to go back without knowing I had an escape plan. Talk to your pastor and anyone you can think of and let them know you are available and open to new employment. I know that Lord has something else in mind for you. I secured my employment by prayer and word of mouth 13 years ago and it was a perfect match! You never know who knows someone.
Stand tall and just show 'em that they will not bring you down - do not allow them to steal your joy! "...I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do everything through him who gives me strength." My first thought (not prophetic or anything) is that PERHAPS God allowed this to happen to seperate you from them. Perhaps for safety, perhaps because something is going to happen, I don't know.
I can tell you that hubby just was fired/let go from his Muslim boss 2 weeks ago (still looking for new jjob). God did that for a reason-- I don't know what yet, but he brought hubby home at this time for OUR good.
I can also tell you that God will deal with her for the lies against you. You can be guaranteed of that! You might not see it, but it WILL happen.
TRY really hard to have peace, spend this time doing as the Lord urges you-- prayer, Bible studies, preparing for whatever God has planned for you.
God is bigger than this!

Thank you Lynn and Joyful heart! I didn't want to go to work today, I was sick yesterday but went in for an hour because I had work that couldn't wait. Today I still had a low fever but midterms are now and I have (had) to be there - I think my immediate supervisor is about to see how much work I do.
I wanted to read my bible this morning, not go to work, so reading is what I am doing. I have looked for work in the past few months but am finding nothing and no responses at all. I've been at this job for 7 years so at least I'm a 'stick to it' kind of person. But I am shy, finding work is hard because you can't be so shy. This was a huge nail for me today. It doesn't matter in this world, being upright and faithful...Seems the more I am, the more I am hurt. If they save each tear, I have surely cried a river in this life.

Ruthie, looking for a job can be tortuous. What I did was open my mouth to my friends and I prayed the Lord to bring me the job since I couldn't take time off. He's the God of the impossible, Ruthie! Believe me, they will not get away with it! Pray for them - remember that it will be "as burning coals" on their heads. God will not forget you. You hang in there, rest to get rid of your virus and give it all to the Lord. We all know, He handles things so much better than we do!!!

Dearest Ruthie, I am in agreement with the above prayers. God will provide for you. I've been there, I got a phone call one day from the bosses in another state and the best paying job I have ever had was over - within the timeframe of that phone call. You just have to fall into His arms and let him direct your paths. You know we are out of here soon.
I will be the first one at your door in Heaven waiting on the cookies! Happy Birthday and remember to praise Him for our blessings. Most times these kind-of experiences are blessings, we just don't know about them. We only see a few of the puzzle pieces; He has the "full picture on the front of the box"! I remember very well praying that God would intervene in my work situation and make His will clear. Followed by a heart felt "I didn't mean it THIS way Lord". You have been praying for things to change, and it looks like they are. Perhaps He wants you to enjoy Purim at home. Perhaps He is moving you out of this mission field to another, because the hearts are too stony in your current field. Perhaps He wants you to trust Him as your Provider, not your job. His ways are always perfect, but sometimes it takes a while to gain a perspective on it that doesn't make you want to hyperventilate. Or cry until your eyes are swollen. I trust that He will show Himself mighty in your life, in Melissa's life, and in all of our lives. He's not the Almighty God, King of the Universe and our Prince of Peace for nothing. His provision will be seen. And may He lift all of us up this week so that we can share His perspective on what all this has been about.

Sometimes these things must happen for the Father knows best and what is best for our lives. It may seem at the time the most devastating thing to happen to lose ones job. And it's very scary especially when one needs that job to survive.
But then something better comes along and is a more safer, happier and peaceful environment then the one before. And that is when we must count our blessings to God for what He has provided for us. I am sure this has happened to many including myself and my heart goes to you because I empathize with what you're going through right now.
I used to worry all the time about everything. And I used to get scared about pretty much everything till I ended up in the hospital my panic attacks were so severe. Even talking to people frightened me at times because my words don't often come out right. Till I found Jesus or He found me and helped me overcome my fears. And I realized from scripture does worrying add a single hour to my life?
Know that everything is in the control of the Father and daddy does know best! :) And this terrible work environment that is detrimental to you and your health may actually turn out better for you in the long term if you were to leave or if they let you go.
I pray to you Father and your beloved Son of God that you may please provide a better work environment for your dear child Ruthie. May she find comfort, peace and solace in your arms and may her tomorrow only bring her happiness and joy. I also pray for those whom maybe tormenting her and may they see the errors of their ways and turn to you and find Jesus through this and repent and ask forgiveness towards you Father. Thank you Jesus.

I can feel the hugs. Thom, I was secretly thinking the same thing. The Lord knows I don't want to be at work when HE comes. I try to pray everyday for that office and everyone in it, this woman that hates me, I pray for the most. But it seems like the more I pray for her, the more aggressive she becomes toward me. Last night the moon was shining on me as I woke up from a dream, all I could remember was "it's black and white" and everything in the dream was black and white and I found something that I thought read 2012 but then realized that it was 2002. I've been a believer most of my life but 2002 was ~ when I was saved :)

Ruthie, I'm praying too. I really believe that the aggressiveness you're seeing is a giant push by satan against believers just before we're taken out of here in the rapture. It's like there's a dividing line taking shape between those who belong to Jesus and those who don't that's making a disctinction between those taken and those left behind.

My prayers are going up for you also, Ruthie. Lord, please comfort and reassure our sister, Ruthie as she faces this situation in her life. Please surprise her with EXTRA peace for the trial and please help her to find a BETTER job that she will enjoy. Thank you, Father, in Jesus name.

Dear Lord, thank You for working all things together for the good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose. Romans 8:28. Thank You for giving Ruthie the right words to speak, Your words and not her own. Proverbs 18:21. Please help Ruthie delight in You so You can give her the desires of her heart. Psalm 37:4. I pray these things in Jesus' name. Amen.
