Hi all, I would like to comment on some of the views Amy brought up.
The Babylon system HAS been drunk on the blood of the saints for more than a millennium. Who was it that persecuted the early Church? There is not doubt im my mind as to it's identity.
The two wars you mentioned can happen after the Rapture. And there is evidence these are separated by a span of time. We are not told when in the time of testing they occur, so they do not need to happen before the reign of false christ.
The Temple in the Wilderness is all that is necessary to be put up. Scripture does not indicate a stone structure- it only says the,"Holy place". After the psalm 83 war Israel will be able to put it wherever it wants.
The antichrist is one signature away from obtaining all the power he needs right now. The wars he has already been involved in have demonstrated his control.
As for the Jubilee cycles, it APPEARS they are on track because if you dial back one cycle, you find the Balfour agreement at the end of 1917. Exactly one cycle back from 1966. (Dec. 1917 + 49yrs. = 1966).
When you examine the amazing timing involved in prophecy, it is not hard to consider that the timing of events in Israel have been orchastrated, not by men's hand but by God's.
You are still using human logic to pinpoint the Jubilee cycle. Nobody but God knows for sure when it is. Also, there is no scripture to tell us that Jesus will "for sure" return in a Jubilee year. Yes it would make sense, but there is nothing in Scripture to say for sure. The 2015 date is centered around a cycle used by the Jews that may or may not be accurate as I discussed earlier.
I agree the Psalm 83/Ezekiel 28 wars can happen quickly, but Daniel chapter 8,9 & 11 show that the antichrist does not come in initially conquering with warfare, but with dimplomacy. Daniel 11 shows the start of the antichrist military conquests. I do not believe the abomination of desolation can take place until Daniel 11 is fulfilled, therefore the antichrist is going to have to gain a lot of power quick before the April 11th date:
Daniel 11:40 “At the time of the end the king of the South shall attack him; and the king of the North shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter the countries, overwhelm them, and pass through. 41 He shall also enter the Glorious Land, and many countries shall be overthrown; but these shall escape from his hand: Edom, Moab, and the prominent people of Ammon. 42 He shall stretch out his hand against the countries, and the land of Egypt shall not escape. 43 He shall have power over the treasures of gold and silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt; also the Libyans and Ethiopians shall follow at his heels. 44 But news from the east and the north shall trouble him; therefore he shall go out with great fury to destroy and annihilate many. 45 And he shall plant the tents of his palace between the seas and the glorious holy mountain; yet he shall come to his end, and no one will help him.
Time is running out for the antichrist to exercise his charm in diplomacy before he can gather enough power to have a military that fights for him.
Daniel 8:25 Through his cunning He shall cause deceit to prosper under his rule; And he shall exalt himself in his heart. He shall destroy many in their prosperity.
Daniel 9:27 27 Then he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week
(See Isaiah 28:18-22 to see why this is a "peace covenant")
Daniel 11:21 And in his place shall arise a vile person, to whom they will not give the honor of royalty; but he shall come in peaceably, and seize the kingdom by intrigue. 22 With the force of a flood they shall be swept away from before him and be broken, and also the prince of the covenant. 23 And after the league is made with him he shall act deceitfully, for he shall come up and become strong with a small number of people. 24 He shall enter peaceably, even into the richest places of the province; and he shall do what his fathers have not done, nor his forefathers: he shall disperse among them the plunder, spoil, and riches; and he shall devise his plans against the strongholds, but only for a time.
As for Mystery Babylon, where are the 10 kings that are to rule under her?
Revelation 17:7 But the angel said to me, “Why did you marvel? I will tell you the mystery of the woman and of the beast that carries her, which has the seven heads and the ten horns. 8 The beast that you saw was, and is not, and will ascend out of the bottomless pit and go to perdition. And those who dwell on the earth will marvel, whose names are not written in the Book of Life from the foundation of the world, when they see the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.
9 “Here is the mind which has wisdom: The seven heads are seven mountains on which the woman sits. 10 There are also seven kings. Five have fallen, one is, and the other has not yet come. And when he comes, he must continue a short time. 11 The beast that was, and is not, is himself also the eighth, and is of the seven, and is going to perdition. 12 “The ten horns which you saw are ten kings who have received no kingdom as yet, but they receive authority for one hour as kings with the beast. 13 These are of one mind, and they will give their power and authority to the beast. 14 These will make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them, for He is Lord of lords and King of kings; and those who are with Him are called, chosen, and faithful.”
I firmly believe in a literal interpretation of Scripture. Anything less becomes muddy and of private interpretation. I do not believe that anything after Revelation 3 has occurred yet, nor will it until after the rapture (except in Revelation 12 that goes back to the birth of Jesus in an interlude). Yes, we see types and parallels of these things throughout the ages, but I am confident that the literal and complete fulfillment is yet to come.
Luke 21:28 "Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.”
