I'm not picking a date...just showing how Ascension day could fit.

If you remember my first small study on Ascension Day, I showed how the angel said Jesus would return the same way and I showed it could be also be the same day.

NOW

John 2:1-2 And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there: And both Jesus was called, and his disciples, to the marriage.

The third day, Tuesday, is always assumed to be the church’s (bride’s) wedding day and we all know that Tuesday was the Jewish wedding day simply because a divorce could be sought on what I will call misrepresentation of the bride on either Wednesday or Thursday at the latest.

But…today Christians and Jews get married on the weekend – Saturday or Sunday… with Saturday being most popular of the two for Christians whereas Jews prefer Sundays due to the Saturday Sabbath.

If we are raptured on Ascension Day during the 3rd watch (midnight to 3pm) in the Jerusalem time zone, which I believe the Lord uses, it will be the 16th/17th or Wed/Thu around the world.

On our third day in heaven, three days later, it would be (Sat-Sun) or May 20-21, just as the annular ring eclipse will be shown to the world heralding the wedding of the bride in heaven.

NEXT

With the confusion in the world from the rapture, I’m sure either Israel will attack Iran & Syria or vice-versa. During these 10 days of chaos and wars, there will be some Christians (back-slidden, etc) who were dead (spiritually) who will (like the Church of Smyrna) become alive when they realize the church has left. These will, according to Rev 2:10, have to endure the 10 days (or in this scenario) until the dispensation changes on Pentecost - which it has for the last two dispensational changes - as the 144,000 show and the covenant with many is signed by Israel to end its war.

Rev 2:10 Don't be afraid of what you are going to suffer. Look! The devil is going to throw some of you into prison so that you may be tested. For ten days you will undergo suffering. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the victor's crown of life.

I hope this encourages all and even if it is not then, ALL things point to it happening sooooo soon!

So 3 days between the shout up and the Ring ceremony. Works for me. Assuming we're still here then. And since we will be a new physical creation at the Rapture in addition to our current status as new spiritual creations, that would put the doubly blessed wedding day again on the third day of our new creation. I hope the Lord God agrees with you.

I cannot agree with you more! My wife and I had a very interesting discussion on the reason why the Lord is delaying His return but we are coming to a point that there will be no further delays.

Yes Terrence, no further delays! Our Lord is coming and that's why we're so excited! What could be more exciting then waiting for that glorious day? We are constantly comforting each other with the rapture. 1 Thessalonians 4:18. *:)

Last week, I think it was Wednesday morning, May 2nd, when I was waking up, I heard "Ascension Day!" 3 times, it's what woke me up. I didn't post at the time because it was so quick but I have been thinking about it a lot. I actually was sad, thinking, no, sooner please! & I honestly thought it would be yesterday, May 5th. So, as I do, it's the day after, I'm moving on to the next hope. May 17th it is, then May 27th and honestly, any surprise date before then would be wonderful too!

I really like the timeline that you've proposed and I really hope we are that close but I have a question regarding the 10 days.

Are you proposing that there are two raptures? One for real Christians and another (or maybe even death) for the backslidden 10 days later or there abouts?

I'm not trying to be divisive, I've just never heard this teaching before in regards to todays church and I'm very curious. I've just always learned and been taught that a Christian is a Christian, backslidden or not and there was just one rapture.

I agree with Cannot Wait. I do not believe any of the bride is going to be left behind even for 10 days. If you are backslidden you lose your rewards, not your salvation or your part in the rapture. I believe Rev. 2:10 was taken out of context here and is for the tribulation saints, not the bride. The ascension day timing is interesting, but I do not believe any believer, backslidden or not, will be excluded from the rapture, which I consider the wedding ceremony of Christ and His church.

I didn't read it as ten days then another rapture, but ten days and then the great tribulation revival begins, similar to the revival that began on Pentecost / Shavout 33AD.

One Rapture on Ascension Day then after 10 days the Tribulation begins with the change in Dispensation and the sealing of the 144,000 Jewish witnesses on Pentecost.

Sorry if I misunderstood but I just took this phrase as saying the backslidden Christians wouldn't be taken in the rapture but would have to endure 10 days of tribulation.

I ignore backslid Christian and insert nominal Christian when I read things like this to keep it consistent with my once saved always saved, but thought saved maybe not saved theology. I didn't realize I did it so automatically W&W until you brought it up again.

I agree that if you miss the rapture you might have a lot more than ten days of tribulation to endure. Or maybe not, depending on how things go. As I like to remind people, in Revelation Father God tells John that those who die in the Lord from this (whatever time this is) moment on are blessed and the Spirit confirmed by indicating that their striving will cease. How bad does it have to get when Father God says you're better off being martyred quick? Worse than I can imagine, or want to be able to imagine.
