Update on Minot and Missouri River news--

I was looking at the Drudge Report and found that Minot, ND is under a severe flooding battle with the residents on the losing side.  It's the Souris River; not the Missouri but it could very well drain into the Missouri at some point, too.  I don't know about this river.

About 12,000 residents have needed to evacuate--not the whole town as this article led us to believe. They won't be able to go back to their homes for weeks--probably mid-July.  Several levees have been broken through.  Watch for updating news.

About 100 miles of bridges in the states of  NE-IA-MO have been closed due to safety reasons.  The 150,000cu. ft. of  planned water releases from dams like Gavin's Point in SD are now releasing 160,000 cu. ft. of water per minute instead.  The pressure keeps building!

Since FEMA was brought up, I thought I'd put a warning out there never to go into a evacuation/holding facility that has barbed wire fence pointing inward.  When you see your neighbors line up for the FEMA buses, opt out and take your own car and get far away.  If you have no where to go, find a church and ask if someone can give you shelter there for awhile until the flooding lowers.  I am very serious about these FEMA centers.  Here is a show that Jesse Ventura, former governor of Minnesota put out about these places on his show Conspiracy Theory.
