Yeah, the reporter gave the impression like as if it was "no big deal", just another object in the galaxy.
Perhaps, Vesta and Ceres are virtually harmless, but who knows... Or maybe something else? Wonder why NASA is so busy tracking and studying Vesta with their DAWN program. I read such news a few times before. Just that I did not find any interest to post them here at the time back then.
Recently, I saw on my Stellarium astronomy software that Vesta might get much closer to our moon. There will be 2 interesting dates that this asteroid Vesta will transit to nearest the somewhat-full moon, barely divided by the Jupiter orbit between them.
Well, not 100% saying there will be something going to happen. For such, only God will know. We can only pray and watch everyday of our life, till the Rapture.
