Fair Use For Educational Or Discussion Purposes Only
This sounds like we have to work to be worthy to escape God's wrath to me and does absolutely nothing to give me hope.

You have confessed your sins; you accepted Jesus as your Saviour. Your salvation is a done deal, imo. I think what Pastor Stone refers to (I have the c.d.) is for those left behind after the Rapture of the Church.
Keep your garment clean and allow the Holy Spirit to guide you daily. You have the Blessed Hope.

Very interesting... Thank you for sharing Tickford!
Have a blessed day,

I have heard Perry Stone teach a partial rapture theory with my own two ears. When it comes to it he is very sketchy with it because he doesn't want to lose credibility with all the mainstream eschatalogist but coming from his Church of God background, he can't help it because the major doctrine of COG is one can lose salvation for unrepented sin and it doesn't take much of it either.
That creates a very unstable christian growth.
Listen to video 1 at the 4:00 mark.
"The Rapture is for those who have been serving the Lord"
I'm sorry but Mr. Perry is not teaching the truth. When a believer is born again the Holy Spirit baptizes them and comes into them to dwell. That is how salvation is obtained mechanically. A quickening of the Spirit and a portion of God is put into them. When the rapture occurs the Holy Spirit is taken from this earth and His dwelling is also removed.
You cannot take the Restrainer without the container.
Amen, TOT. Right on. I have always been leery of some of the things Perry has said over the years For me, all the great insight on escatology is diminished when any teaching that questions the security of the believer is introduced. It just makes me wince every time I hear someone suggest that Jesus will leave behind anyone His Father has given Him. Its like saying that God is not faithful or truthful. I would hate to be the one who stands before him and tries to give an answer as to why I said in effect, He was lying. Lord have mercy on them.
Exactly TOT and Tom ~~ how can any true believer not be raptured? If there's a partial rapture what will that 'believer' who got left behind then raptured during the trib say as a reason He was caught up?
What will be his reason the 'believer' was overlooked missing the rapture. Will he say he helped Jesus meet the Lord's perfect standard during the mid trib by good works?
The Great Truth makes it plain God's standard is Supremely holy, too high for mere mortal man to ever come close to help save himself. God so infinitely perfect, will give His glory to no one . .
Yes, the true believer is saved trusting Jesus and His Sacrifice and the only Atonement able to receive the impact of God's wrath satisfying God's Justice. . . . . . . No one saved will boast of anything except their gratitude for the Risen Savior Who did it all . . oh, what Mercy, what Grace ~~~ ever and ever will be our theme of thankfulness before the Living God . . .
Yes, TOT, I have heard him say that in my own ears, also. I have learned a lot from him, especially his teaching of old Jewish customs and expounding on those to explain the customs in Jesus day to make the scriptures more understandable. I've also been fascinated by his dreams and visions. But his teaching on the partial rapture theory has always bothered me, too.
