2 x stories
Story No1-
A long time ago this woman who lived gave birth to a beautiful baby boy, so perfect and cute in every form and way. But from the onset this child was different, always crying and drawing away from the mothers touch. Suckling at her breast for nourishment the child would still turn his head away when possible, though knowing where and whom the nourishment came from.
Others thought this was very odd, but the mother could see no wrong, “he is my son and I simply love him”.
Growing up as a young child the tantrums started in full force, many nights spent beside his bed trying to calm him down, but he continued to reject the mother. She was like she was not needed, but everyday the boy would eat of her food and feel the warmth of her home. She loved him regardless, she saw herself within him, and she simply loved him.
Phone calls from the school principal, expulsion and rebellion, many times the mother would defend her son. He was a good boy, he just needed some love. Every time he came home he would yell and curse his mother when she tried to draw near. In her pain that she buried deep within, she continued to love this child for he was her son.
In the years that passed far away from his home, the mother would call him to say hello. No calls were returned, no love given back, where did this poor mother go wrong?
And a time approached when the mothers health was failing, death was closing in. A few months at most, she faced it with alone.
Before the end she wrote two letters and passed them on to her lawyer. One was to be given to the son if he came to her bed and said the simple words “I love you Mom”. The other was to be given if the son never came, the hardest letter of the two to write. Tears fell from her cheeks as she wrote it that day, explaining to her son all that she had given him in life. And because he rejected her all the way to the grave, his inheritance he would not receive. While the other letter gave all, just four simple words required.
It came to pass that the son never came to the hospital where the mother lay, he received the letter and hung his head full of shame. Time had passed and could not be erased, he know faced this world alone without her love.
End of story
Question- Was it fair for the mother to cut off her son’s inheritance because he rejected her?
Yes as hard as it was for the mother, it was fair and just
Story No 2-
You were known before you were born; as you lay within your mother’s womb you were loved. You have been created uniquely for there is no other person that has ever lived that is quite like you. The Father of all the heavens and the earth, the one that created you, loves you
As you grew up he sent you the sunshine, the lands produced foods that you may eat. For he loved you so much he wanted you to have the best.
As the years passed on by you never thought of him at all, sometimes you would hear people speak of him. But you have decided that you can make it alone, for there is no one that can get in your way. But the seasons rolled on, the sunshine and the rain, flowers and nature abound. For you are his son, so uniquely made, he wants and continues to love you regardless. Hoping that you may see the Father above, knowing that you were beautifully made.
He loved you so much that he sent his son to die so that you may live. Though you have heard people talk about this you continue your own way, rejecting the Fathers love. At times you even make fun of the one they call Jesus, a bumper sticker, a joke at parties, whatever. But the season roll on, the sunshine and the rain, he loves you because you were beautifully made.
The hardest thing for the Father to do was to write two letters to his son. One would say if the son accepted his love, he would forgive him and give him his inheritance. The other was simple, there would be none what so ever, cast away forever more. A place of sorrow, full of tears and shame.
It came to pass that the boy who was loved before birth, rejected the Fathers love. He never told the father that he was sorry; he never told the father that he loved him. And as he took that final breath, a new breath continued on the other side. And as he faced his Father with tears and with shame he heard those crushing words.
“Go away-I never knew you”
End of story-
If you are reading this then you have time, you have time to accept the Fathers love. A love that never ends, a love that continues on after we die of this earth. Jesus loves you, he died for you so you may live forever in his love. You have done wrong, we all have, and we all have fallen short.
Ask Jesus into your life today, ask him to forgive you of you’re wrongs, accept his love, accept and follow him and no other. He knew you before you were born, he loves you.
Tomorrow may be to late, do it today
For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son. That who ever believes in him shall not perish, but have eternal life.
Run to his arms today, you have the choice
“By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” — John 13:35
