Hello there! This is my first thread on here so forgive me if I make any mistakes. I myself have had two spiritual dreams in my life and last night my mom had a strange dream so I might as well share them and perhaps someone can help interpret them!

Dream One

The first one I had was before I became a born again Christian in this dream I was being chased by this huge hulking demon. I was running from it through this strange factory, sort of like an oil refinery. It was smashing its way through walls and gratings trying to get at me. Eventually I came upon this golden sword with purple etched runes stuck in the ground, when I picked it up it began to talk to me.
The sword spoke this language that I never heard before, I couldn't understand it at all. Anyway I carried it out of this oil refinery and found myself outside. The sky was pitch black but I could see the light coming from an old church on a large hill above me.
After climbing the hill and entering the church I rested the sword up against the altar and I knelt down and prayed "God help me, please help me Lord!" and when I did, the cross on the front of the altar began to glow this amazing light! After that I woke up. At this time I had lost my job and was deeply depressed. After this I became a born again Christian and God guided me to my current job; which I love so much!

Dream Two

Not much to this dream I was walking around my village and I met everyone I'd ever met in my entire life. When I got home in this dream I turned around and noticed several people begin to lift off into the sky. I woke up whilst they were mid air.

My Mums dream

Last night my mum had a dream where she was inside the house when the sky got dark and she went out side thinking "that's weird" and she looked up and all of a sudden it began raining worms!She looked up and there were countless number of them in the sky. She ran inside and began clearing up the ones she brought into the house and got me to help clear them up. Dunno what that's about...

That's all of them I can pretty much interpret my own dreams but my Mums dream I have absolutely no idea what they mean (if they mean anything). If anyone can help figure them out it would be most appreciated!

The first dream reminded me of the the Terminator series a bit. Also remember Hebrews 4:12 "For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart." And Yeshua is the Word made flesh. They look like runes to me.

Second one is a gimme. What we are all waiting for.

The third one is distressing. In the Bible worms are commonly associated with Sheol, where the worm never dies and is associated with the destruction of the physical flesh.

Is your mother saved? The dream sounds like she doesn't understand how the world is becoming a dark place. She needs to know the Lord and the power of His salvation if she does not. Nothing is more important than that in the context of eternity.

With all the pageantry associated with the Queen's Coronation Annivesary and the upcoming Olympics, Isaiah 14:11 comes to mind also when I think England and worms. An unusual association for me.

Welcome to Ritan from Gosport South of England. I agree with David R on your dream posts.

However there is one concern when you said that you couldn't mention christianity around your brother James as he is a paranoid schizophrenic...Do you know why this is?
The reason i ask, is the Bible shows us that people possessed by demons cause this illness and that is why they can't tolerate anything to do with christanity.

To rid the demon from your brother, cast it out in The Name and Blood of Our Lord Jesus Christ and keep repeating until it's gone; Then your brother needs to accept Jesus as His Lord and Saviour and Repent Fully of His Sins, ASAP otherwise the demon that has been removed from the house that has been swept clean, returns with 7 more spirits more wicked than itself Luke.11:24-27

May The Lord Give You The Courage and Strength To Do This.
And Protect You With His Precious Blood. AMEN

Hi Rebecca I agree with you on that. Perhaps I should explain my brother is saved, back before it happened he was the nicest guy you could meet, always putting other before himself. He was a good Christian and some ways he still is.
However, he was deeply depressed with his job which involved close proximity with people (he suffers from severe anxiety) and the work itself was awful as well. Eventually he just snapped and Christianity being one of his main drives in life he fell back on that. He started acting strangely, he couldn't stand sin in anyway, his anxiety vanished and he was constantly happy.

Sounds good I know but there's a bad side too. He would talk to himself constantly, walk around the house late at night,couldn't sit still for a second and eventually he began cutting himself to try and stop the "loops of thoughts" in his head. He bashed his head against a wall at work because he believed God told him to do it.

I prayed and prayed for him every night whilst he was in the hospital. God answered my prayers at the start of 2012 and he got better! He's back to his normal self now (more or less) however talking about Christianity triggers those thoughts in his head again or so he says. He thinks clearly now and I believe he will reawaken his faith in his own time. Time is short I know but I trust in the Lord that he will guide him when the time is right.

I just wish I could do more for him without the risk of doing more harm than good but I trust in The Lord completely; and that when the time is right he will find his way again.
