Just a question to ponder here in all humility before each of you...

Let's just say we have 3 days of darkness, which is very biblical in many accounts, I concur.

BUT how does the LUKE 21 and MATTHEW 24 description fit into this picture???

Please help me understand, I love sharing and digging into the scriptures and these hypothetical questions.

In the dreams I have the time JUST before HE returns the darkness is like the final warning. I believe in every ounce of my being just before the rapture will occur, people will be in darkness and surrounded in chaos. I think many people will believe when this happens because it will be scary. The Lord had me write a letter to my mom and tell her once the power goes out on a massive scale soon, surrender your life before him 100% because he will come back shortly after this happens. I believe that that will be a prophecy for her because she's just so happen leaving home [so cal] for a week or more with her un saved, demonic boyfriend. :/ .... We shall see what happens

Good point.  I don't think Elenin will cause 3 days of darkness.  I think the 3 days of darkness comes later when Niburu comes between the earth and sun, possibly a year after Elenin.

I believe the rapture occurs as Elenin passes by, then the 1st seal is broken and other seals are broken throughout the year and when Niburu passes by the 6th seal is broken.

A few thoughts Psalm 40: As I was going to reread the scripture in Mattthew 24:36-50 I noticed how in my bible the section was titled "Jesus Tells about Remaining Watchful". Clearly we are watchers here.

I have also pondered that if those verses relate to the tribulation, they would not make sense as we know God to make sense. For instance, while people are dying, fighting to stay alive, out running the AC, and just down right angry at God would they really want to be getting married? Especially when we see in 2nd Timothy 3:1-5 that the in the last days things will be so terrible that people will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive,disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love... and a host of other evil characterisitcs. Granted we see some of this now but God's word tells us it will be worse(hard to imagine). Would they really be buying and selling, or planting and building as Luke 17 describes? Probably not in the sense we know, business as usual. Yes they will have to buy and sell, plant and build, but it will be for their own survival under the cruel rule of the AC.

Also the Matthew 24:36-50 verses really seem to describe what we would expect of the rapture, one women taken, one women left in the field. If both women knew when Jesus was coming would they not of prepared for his coming. The tribulation will provide an exact day count of His second coming, and those who study scripture at that time will know exactly when He is due to arrive. There will be no suprises. People during the tribulation can choose to live in denial of Christ's return but if they so desire and provided they live long enough and seek God earnestly they can read scripture and see exactly what is coming next. 

 I am thankful we live at a time when we can look through the dim glass and speculate with or Lord Jesus and fellow believers. Oh how blessed we are to be able to watch for His return for us. Oh what a wonderous time we live in. I am so thankful God allowed me to live at this time.

During the trib, even though it will be a horrible time, people will still be getting married, eating and drinking:

Just as it was in the days of Noah, so also will it be in the days of the Son of Man. 27People were eating, drinking, marrying and being given in marriage up to the day Noah entered the ark. Then the flood came and destroyed them all. Luke 17:26-27

Another scripture says:

Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those in the city get out, and let those in the country not enter the city. For this is the time of punishment in fulfillment of all that has been written. How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers! There will be great distress in the land and wrath against this people. Luke 21:21-23

This shows not only pregnancy, but family continuity - marriage.

Isaiah 4:1 shows women at the end of days asking to be made a man's wife:

In that day seven women

will take hold of one man

and say, “We will eat our own food

and provide our own clothes;

only let us be called by your name.

Take away our disgrace!”

Regarding Matthew 24 and the one taken and one left, here are the Strong's definitions of taken and left:

from 3844 and 2983; to receive near, i.e. associate with oneself (in any familiar or intimate act or relation); by analogy, to assume an office; figuratively, to learn:--receive, take (unto, with).

aphiémi (af-ee'-ay-mee)

lay aside, leave, let go, omit

From apo and hiemi (to send; an intensive form of eimi, to go); to send forth, in various applications (as follow) -- cry, forgive, forsake, lay aside, leave, let (alone, be, go, have), omit, put (send) away, remit, suffer, yield up.

Because Matthew 24 speaks of the tribulation and the end of the age, then in context, this scripture goes in tandem with the sheep and goat judgement parable of Matthew 25, and will take place at the end of the tribulation after Jesus' second coming.
