I was in a room and there was a whirlwind all around me. In the whirlwind was all kinds of everyday items. I notice a messenger (I knew to be an angel) able to get through to the middle where I was standing. I hold out my hand and he places some small gold items in my hand, one of which is a watch.

I interpreted it this way -

The storm, craziness of life, may be all around me, but I am safe. God can get through to me, no matter what is going on. I am to keep an eye on the time.
