Hi, Paul. So you're basically proposing (through a fictionalized format) that the current progressive, compromising attitude in which everything has a political solution can be applied to how people might respond to the coming of Christ? Or as Rodney King put it, "Can't we all just get along?"

You refer to Neville Chamberlain's well-known quote about having "Peace in our time," after having met with Hitler. Chamberlain made his statement before the full horrors of WW2 were evident; but even afterward, he allegedly said on his deathbed, "Everything would have been all right if only Hitler hadn't lied to me." Some people never learn.

Realistically, I doubt that anyone is going to be in a position to debate politics when Christ returns to set up His Kingdom. (I get it that this is hypothetical.) It's interesting to consider how the high and mighty of this present age might respond to those events. But in truth, I suspect they would be on the verge on insanity in the brief time they'd have before being removed.

There will be a remnant from among the nations that will be comprised of genuine believers in Christ. I doubt any of them will be taken in by the current smorgasboard of leftist ideas. In fact, I can't see any place for American style democracy or socialism under a righteous King.

It is only at the end of the Millennium, upon the release of Satan for a short while, that multitudes become convinced of the possibility of an uprising being successful. One can imagine the arguments that might be used to rally sedition. (We can do better! Hope! Change!) They might be the same old lies we've always heard because Satan realizes they have always been effective.

I imagine some will take that attitude even after Christ returns, toward the end.

So, yes, cries for "peaceful coexistence" are usually the pretext for later calls to "annihilate the enemy," once a foothold has been established. The gullible souls weary of conflict are all too happy to comply with calls for "peace" where there is none. God is not taken in by them.

With the armies from the east heading their way the progressive (liberal) Christians, who are the only ones legally allowed to live because of their acceptance of the leader of the world as Christ, see the real Jesus in the sky with thousands of his saints behind him following.

Quickly these “Christians” start to plead with Jesus to open negotiations with Satan in order to avoid bloodshed and end this 7-year quagmire. They insist that doing it their way will spare the world the needless bloodshed, and will allow all sides to exist side by side in peace and harmony. They say He already has too much blood on his hands and that sparing people now will be a great PR move that they know how to spin correctly to help heal the wounds opened by the judgments of the last 7 years.

They remind Him that they control the media, thereby ensuring him positive press coverage and skyrocketing poll numbers if he will stick to their "two world" solution. They insist that Satan will stay in the old world (mid-east, Asia, Africa, and Europe) and that He will have rule over the new world (Americas and Australia) and guarantee that Satan will not attempt to overthrow the new world.

They say that killing those who are against Him is not the answer, but that sharing the world with Satan will allow both sides to get most of what they want, without anyone having to perish and guarantee a Nobel Peace Prize and an Oscar for a documentary based on the events.

One was quoted as saying "we shall finally have peace for all time!"
