I have been coming up with Scarby Stories that deal with some of our favorite characters in the past like Leave it to Beaver and Mayberry RFD(which I have yet to do) and soon Gunsmoke! There is a chance that Scarby would like to appear in one of your most favorite TV shows of the past! If I can get Scarby to volunteer and he knows the TV Show characters then you can both choose the TV program plus you can give Scarby a topic on what you want the TV Show to be about and then Scarby can do a story around your ideas!!

I have been giving my Scarby tails to some friends outside of Rita Now and they are becoming fans of the ugly mutt!! They also are most likely to become members in the near future if I can just hook them on the bait!! Get It!! Fishing for Souls!!

I will be posting more Scarby tails that have to do with past TV shows as I find time to write them down!! I will make it a point to have a good moral or lesson to each story no matter how rediculous it might turn out!!
You might say these Scarby Tales are most like modern day Parables!!!
Please help a poor dog with a limited food supply and a facial tic that won't go away without stern vocal commands!!!

Que: The William Tell Overture..."The Lone Ranger"

Scott; "Scarby, I think that was Butch Cavendish that attacked and killed all the rangers but myself!! From now on, I am going to keep my identity a secret and wear a mask."
Scarby; "Holy, moly Kemosabe!! Do you think we will have any problems driving through Taco Bell with you wearing a mask?? And do you have a permit to carry a pair of Colt 45's?? I mean, don't you think silver bullets are kind of traceable more than others?
Scott; "What in the heck have you been smoking? I'm going to call you Tonto, which is Spanish for a soft headed idiot!! And by the way, "Tonto"...I happen to know that Kemosabe means "soggy bush" in the Navajo Language. Do you think I'm your personal fire hydrant or something??"
Scarby; "Do you think if we capture and bring in Butch Cavendish and his gang that we can keep their Slim Jims and loose change??"
Scott: "We will return to the adventures of the Lone Ranger and Tonto in just a moment!! Now, here's a commercial to get your kids high and rot their teeth by eating sugar coated cereal!!
The End....
And by the way, I love to watch The Lone Ranger on tv...mostly because Tonto was the only person I ever saw that could get knocked out cold by getting hit on the head with a gun and then get up two minutes later and beat up a bad guy. Also, the Lone Ranger was a Virgo...he was remarkably tidy and never sweat or got dirty.
Years later, Jay Silverheels ( Tonto ) said that his horse 'Scout' was so small and slow that he could outrun him!!

Good stuff Patrick! Very clever.

Okay, since I'm a HUGE Little House on the Prairie fan, I'll take a stab at this:

Laura sitting by the creek, sad and crying:

PA: "What's wrong, Half Pint? Still thinking about Jack? You look like you lost your best friend."

Laura: "I did, Pa. Jack died, and I don't know if I will ever find another dog to replace him."

Pa: "Don't feel bad, Laura! I saw a poor old mutt by Mr. Hansen's mill. Let me go and fetch him for you."

They both turned around, hearing singing in the background:

"Old Dan Tucker was a fine old man. He washed his face in a frying pan. He combed his hair with a wagon wheel...."

Laura finishes the song, "And died of a toothache in his heel!"

Laura: "Mr. Edwards, it's so good to see you! What are you doing here? And where did that dog come from?"

Mr. Edwards: "Well, you see, Half Pint, your Pa here told me this morning over at Hansen's that your old friend Jack died, so I see this mangy mutt just a lookin' round fer a good meal, so I thought 'bout you and decided to bring him over to cheer you up!"

Laura, hugging Mr. Edwards.

Laura: "Oh, Mr. Edwards, thank you! My, he's not very good looking is it? He's even got a scar behind his ear! But I don't care. I'm going to call him Scarby!"

Pa: "It sure is good to see you with a smile on your face again, Half Pint. Thank you, Isaiah. You made Laura's day, that's for sure."

Mr. Edwards: "Aw, ain't nuthin. You know I got a soft spot in my heart for Half Pint, here."

So Scarby became Laura's best friend. Pretty soon the painful memory of losing her beloved dog, Jack, was eased by her new friend, Scarby. No more tears for Half Pint! As a matter of fact, you could hear her in the background, singing....

"Get out of the way of Old Man Tucker
He's too late to git his supper
Supper's over and breakfast's cookin
Old Dan Tucker just stands there, lookin...."

Laura, looking at Scarby and laughing:

Laura: "Look, Pa! Scarby's dancing!"

Pa: "Let me get out my fiddle and you can dance with him!"

So Scarby found a home....full of love.

Great ideas, PJ and Lisaleenie! I would love to see how Scarby does on the Lucy chocolate factory scene! Maybe he would rather be making tacos on the taco line at Taco Bell? I'll let Scott drum up the script!

Thanks, Live 4 Him! This I Love Lucy episode was a real classic.

But I have a sneaking suspician that if Scarby was at that factory, there wouldn't be any candy left for Lucy or Ethel to put in the boxes because Scarby would beat them to it! Of course, chocolate is lethal for dogs, but I don't think that Scarby would care about that. He would just scarf down the candy then head for the Milk of Magnesia for a quick fix.

Scott: "Scarby, what are you doing with that Milk of Magnesia?"

Scarby: "None of your beeswax!"

Scott: "Don't get snippy with me, you mangy little mutt! I asked you a question!"

Scarby hanging his head: "Well, I got a hold of some chocolate candy on an assembly line, and scarfed them down!"

Scott: "WHAT? You know that chocolate is bad for dogs! Why did you do that?"

Scarby: "I couldn't help it! There were a couple of dumb Dora's on the assembly line. If I didn't jump in to help, they would have lost their jobs!"

Scott: "That's no excuse!"

Scarby: "Okay, okay, don't get your nose out of joint! Just let me have some of this Milk of Magnesia, and I'll be good as new!"

A couple of hours later, poor Scarby is in a Sitz Bath, trying to cool down his poor burning hinney.

Moral of the story: No good deed goes unpunished!

Thank you, Live 4 Him! Actually, when I started out, I hadn't planned on doing a Scarby story. But when you came up with the Lucy episode, the thought came to me of purging Scarby with the Milk of Magnesia from eating all that chocolate. After that, the rest of the story just started flowing out and I ran with it! So since it was your idea to begin with, you're a ghost writer, too. :)

Oh, and I loved the laughing dogs!

Scarby; "Food of the gods for the distinguised palate"
Voice on the speaker; "May I take your order??
Scott; "Yes, we'll have an Intergalactic Taco Supreme with two Twin Moon Milkshakes and a Bill Haley and The Comets All Star Chocolate Spazz with plenty of stardust"
Voice on the speaker; "Do you want that with or without the usual Moonpie Burrito Milk of Amenesia Sauce??"
Scott; "No thanks, were on a diet!"
Voice on the speaker; "That will be thirty eight world credits at the window!!"
Scarby; "I hope they hurry up on that order, I want to watch the local news from Andromeda Central!" They're gonna talk about these beings from a planet called "Earth" who crash landed on the parking lot next to the Veterans of Off World Wars Hospital. They say they haven't got gills and only one set of arms and legs and just two eyes. Can you imagine monsters like that traveling through space??

Lisa you put the biggest grin on my boy Scarby's face that he hasn't had in a long time since the day when he chased that squrrel around the house with Aunt Hoosie's panty hose from the clothsline tangled up around his small upper torso!!

That Old Man Tucker ditty got me to laughing!! That Scarby story almost cause me to give a second thought to maybe giving my sharpie pen set over to both you and Patrick and let both of you continue the Scarby saga; while I take off on my long overdue horseback ride toward my horison destiny of living out the remainder of my days at The Crippled Saddleback Nursing Home!!!
It has a western atmosphere inside the establishment where every Friday night the patients get up with their walking canes and walkers and slowly travel down the long corridor to the dining area with all the lights extenguished; and they have the staff create a fireside campfire with a pail of water to extenguish the flames if someones smock catches fire; or if Randy Morrison the singing cowboy of the silver streaks 80's club gets his chapps to close to the glowing embers!

They each are giving one sigle marshmellow to roast over the actual electric oven that sets behind a Fiji picture of a real campfire!
Once the mellow on their pencil sticks are toasty brown they have fun flinging them at each other especially after the meal is served by Campmaster Dave Uginhimer-he usually serves up a pipeing hot dinner plate of beannie winnies with just a small added spoon of beacon grease to give it that western flavor!

The whole chuckwagon gang of octogenarians really get a kick out of their western days extravaganza when the accidental woops! sounds come from beneath the chairs from several participants;

Doung Hensley is the first to have an accidental slippage-he says--did I do that? Sorry! I can't blame the cook just the beenie-weenies for not staying put in my closed cellar!!!

This ends this Fridays old western days-hope you all come back next Friday for woman's yodalling talent show-make sure all you men bring plenty of ear plugs!!!

The moral of this story is that there are good times to be had when everyone is working together; but if you are a loose cannon on your own don't go and blow your foot off in front of you with your own inventions!!

Nope, don't get rid of your sharpie pen, Scott. You're still king of the Scarby stories! I was just having some fun but storywriting is not my forte like it is yours.

Now, Patrick is really good like you! I'm not in the same league as you fellers, haha! That Twilight Zone scenario was really creepy....which is good Twilight Zone writing! It has to be creepy to be good! I can imagine that scene with you and Scarby taking place if Jesus tarried another hundred years and the New World Order came on the scene. Good job, Patrick!

Yeah, I liked that Old Dan Tucker ditty myself. I don't know if you ever watch Little House on the Prairie, but the episodes with Mr. Edwards are my favorite. And he sings that quite a bit on the show, which gave me the idea in the first place.

Lisa when you said you got the ideas from the show-that is the whole secret to writing!! You start with an idea and you let it grow with your imagination until it becomes a completely grown story!!!

I guess maybe some of us have more of an imagination then others! I just picture what things would be like in my mind if I were in a situation like that nursing home and just give names to the patients and try to envision what they would be doing on a trpical Friday night with all the other elderly folk appearing restless and full of warmed over vigor!!

My father spent time in a nursing home and I even played the bingo games with him during his stay-so that gave me food for thought!!!
I think it is very enjoyable to create stories out of nothing-that is what we see at the movie theaters with the shows on the screen-they all for the most part came out of the imagination of the producers mind-as many are based on a fictional story!

Funny photos there Southpaw!! I guess that would be fun to see Scarby in a Star Trek movie or even a Lost In Space adventure-I may have my hands full of canine capers for a long time-I will throw all these ideas in a pot and see what we come up with-Zorro is good too!! I watched that growing up! Also three Muskateers!! The dream machine is unlimited!! But I will have to stay focused in order to have a good story plot-what am I talking about-I make it up as I go!!! Silly me!!!

Ah, so that's the secret! I guess once you get the initial idea, then the rest just falls into place. I always wondered how you got the ideas about your Scarby adventures and ran with it!

Remember how Knight Michael, Watching, and I would do the writing and the commercials for the Scarbonator? Watching would come up with the story, Knight Michael would come up with the graphics, and I would do the commercials, remember? That was sooooo much fun! I really miss that. I also miss Knight Michael. It's been months since we saw a post from him!

Lisa I always will treasure those made up commercials you all did on those Scarby adventures and the graphics Knight Michael did while we all were in limbo for some time!!

I too wonder how are good buddy Knight Michael is doing-he needs to report in for duty-I do believe he is one of the moderators-I hope he still is-he did a great job keeping the ship looking spif and span on the good ship Rita!!

Patrick I just read your additional story about Scarby and his owner Scott going through the Taco Bell drive thru on some galaxy in the Adromena Strain Vortex and I got a big kick out of it-you sure got talent big brother!!!

Southpaw I am not sure I can do a Scarby story with the Star Trek TV show as my material-I am not too sure about the character names and the plot is rather far far away in a galaxy I do not fully understand! But let me still think about it!!

And now, "Scarpula, Dog of the Undead, Creature of The Night"
It was midnight at the Borgo Pass, high in the mountains of Spamsylvania and a carriage was approaching. Scott Wrenfield asked, "Is this the coach to Scarpula's Castle?"
A thin high voice cried out, "It's not the Oklahoma Turnpike...sheesh...just get in the carriage ok?"
They arrived at Scarpula's Castle and Count Scarpula was waiting at the door. Scarpula said, "Mr Wrenfield, did you stop at Taco Bell?" Scott Wrenfield replied, "Well, no we didn't, the drive through was closed due to repair!!"
Then, from all sides of the castle came the howling of wolves!! Scarpula cried, "Children of the night...Shut up!!"
Wrenfield said, "Count Scarpula, the people in town told me you were a vampire, an undead dog, creature of the night!" and Count Scarpula, his eyes glowing and stomach growling said, "Actually, being a vampire isn't kosher and you don't want to eat in town the the slaughtered lamb. That place doesn't know it's braunsweiger from it's saurkraut and dumplings. That's why I own the only Taco Bell franchise in all of Eastern Europe. I guess we could warm up some burritos and a few of the left over nachos left in the fridge. Oh, and what ever you do, only drink the bottled water!! You don't know what BLAAHH is until you drink the water around here?"

My goodness! Now Scarby has an altered ego named Scarpula!! This must be the dog's old nature side!!

Patrick the line that really cracked me up was : Then from all sides of the castle came the howling of wolves--then Scarpula cried--children of the night---SHUT UP!!!!

Scott-- maybe Scarby could star in "The Trouble with Tribbles" episode of Star Trek.

I see him coming in as a sort of pied piper and leading the Tribbles out of Scottie's engine room. He could lead the little fur balls away with tempting fares from his favorite nightspot, Taco Bell. Yeah, Scarby to the rescue again!

That really was one of the original Star Trek episodes. It was a pretty funny one, too.

And I'm a little worried about Scarby playing next to Antonio Banderas in Zorro.

Antonio may get jealous of his co-star, Scarby's good looks! Yikes!

Southpaw I just noticed that the man in the tub of tribbles is Captain Kirk!! I could not tell at first who this guy was-now that I have looked again-it's Kirk!!!

Starlog 757 distination Alpha Galaxy in the Beta Universe!

Captain Kirk: Scott's get the teleporter ready for Mr. Spock and I to be beamed down to the Planet Doris Day; we heard that Her Star was dying out and we needed to take all life forms off the Planet before the Asteroid Dean Martin and the Comet Jerry Lewis polverize the Planet Doris Day and make it turn to Doris Night!!

Mr. Spock: Captain I have notified my people down on Planet Doris Day to take cover under any trees made out of HollyWOOD!!
The asteroid Dean Martin is slowly staggering and curving right towards the planets upper atmosphere-once the gravity liquor belt takes over then it will stumble slowly towards the surface!

Captain Kirk: Mr. Spock its not the Asteroid Dean Martin that concerns me at the present time-I am more concerned about that sidekick Comic(Comet) Jerry Lewis--once it starts cutting up the atmosphere it will have everyone down below in stitches!!

Mr. Spock: These two always fly together through the galaxies! This is the first time they made a special appearance near the Planet Doris Day!!

Captain Kirk: Spock look up to your left and see what I see near the double moons close to the horizon!!

Mr. Spock: I've seen this phenomena before-that appears to be a giant Lucille Ball in the Sky With Diamonds!!!

Captain Kirk: I believe Planet Doris Day will get along just fine with that giant Lucille Ball! It will knock that Comet Jerry Lewis way out of the ball park!

And so Planet Doris Day returned to normal! And Comet Jerry Lewis broke up with Asteroid Dean Martin and both were never ever seen again STARing together!!!

Southpaw I just noticed that the man in the tub of tribbles is Captain Kirk!! I could not tell at first who this guy was-now that I have looked again-it's Kirk!!!

Starlog 757 distination Alpha Galaxy in the Beta Universe!

Captain Kirk: Scotty get the teleporter ready for Mr. Spock and I to be beamed down to the Planet Doris Day; we heard that Her Star was dying out and we needed to take all life forms off the Planet before the Asteroid Dean Martin and the Comet Jerry Lewis polverize the Planet Doris Day and make it turn to Doris Night!!

Mr. Spock: Captain I have notified my people down on Planet Doris Day to take cover under any trees made out of HollyWOOD!!
The asteroid Dean Martin is slowly staggering and curving right towards the planets upper atmosphere-once the gravity liquor belt takes over then it will stumble slowly towards the surface!

Captain Kirk: Mr. Spock its not the Asteroid Dean Martin that concerns me at the present time-I am more concerned about that sidekick Comic(Comet) Jerry Lewis--once it starts cutting up the atmosphere it will have everyone down below in stitches!!

Mr. Spock: These two always fly together through the galaxies! This is the first time they made a special appearance near the Planet Doris Day!!

Captain Kirk: Spock look up to your left and see what I see near the double moons close to the horizon!!

Mr. Spock: I've seen this phenomena before-that appears to be a giant Lucille Ball in the Sky With Diamonds!!!

Captain Kirk: I believe Planet Doris Day will get along just fine with that giant Lucille Ball! It will knock that Comet Jerry Lewis way out of the ball park!

And so Planet Doris Day returned to normal! And Comet Jerry Lewis broke up with Asteroid Dean Martin and both were never ever seen again STARing together!!!

I am new to Scarby but i have to say I am already a big fan! My dog and I sit on the sofa and hoot and howl at Scarbies adventures!

Thanks for getting a hoot out of these Scarby Tails NJ City Bound!! I have other Scarby fans that I am trying to see if they will come on over to Rita and join the fun club!! I use these funny stories as witnessing tools for the much bigger ministry which is here at this website along with all the other member participation-Scarby is not really capable of saving anybody- but he can sure point the way so any outsiders who would like to stay around and keep their footies warm with the kind and godly fellowship which is abundant here among us fellow Ritans-can hang out together and share the mountain dew and some good strong medicine!!

Southpaw I like the Comet you made about the Lucille Ball in the Sky with Diamonds-it has Flaming red hair!!! That was a good one!!
