The Spirit stirring inside today:
of the rebellious? . . . “you want darkness? ~~ I will not override your preference ~~ have at it ~ and on the other side, the fullness of your desires will be met ~
of Mine? you who desire the Light ~~ enjoy the blue skies, sunrise and sunsets on earth, and remember the beauty of the fullness of Light in Heaven where I AM, where there is no shadow of turning ~
Job 24:13,15,17 “There are those who rebel against the light, who do not know its ways or stay in its paths… The eye of the adulterer watches for dusk; he thinks, ‘No eye will see me,’ and he keeps his face concealed… For all of them, deep darkness is their morning; they make friends with the terrors of darkness.”
Isa 29:15-16 Woe to those who go to great depths to hide their plans from the Lord, who do their work in darkness and think, “Who sees us? Who will know?” You turn things upside down, as if the potter were thought to be like the clay!… Can the pot say of the potter, “He knows nothing?”
Isa 28:15 You boast, “… for we have made a lie our refuge, and falsehood our hiding place.”
Ps 139:7,11-12 Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I say, “Surely the darkness will hide me…” the night will shine like day….
Jer 23:24 “Can anyone hide in the secret places so that I cannot see him?” declares the Lord. “Do I not fill heaven and earth?” declares the Lord.
Jer 16:17 “My eyes are on all their ways; they are not hidden from me, nor is their sin concealed from my eyes.”
John 3:19-21 “This is the judgment: that light has entered the world, and men have preferred darkness to light because their deeds were evil.December 11, 2013 at 11:22 am #15939
Oh, that makes so much sense, Donna! The thief always breaks into the homes at night where no one will see him. Dark things are hidden, which is why sinners hate the light because their deeds will be exposed. Which explains why unbelievers hate Christians, because we are the light and darkness hates the light.Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ. Philippians 1:6

Hell is so awful dark because of the absence of our Lord Jesus.Psalm 18:1-3, I will love thee, O LORD, my strength. The LORD [is] my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, [and] my high tower. I will call upon the LORD, [who is worthy] to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies..December 11, 2013 at 12:07 pm #15952
Leenie and PT ~~ those were my thoughts, too ~~ the reality is we shall all spend eternity where our hearts desire to be ~~ as God says, it is a preference for every soul, choosing either Light or darkness~
Jesus also reminds us that:
“No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. . ” . . Luke 16:13December 11, 2013 at 12:32 pm #15955
Why IS the darkness in Hell so dark?
The Absolute absence of the Light/Righteousness/Goodness and grace of God i’d imagine.
The darkness is probably so dark & thick you can feel it,the kind in a blackhole where nothing can escape.John 3:14-16 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: That whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life...

The total loss of hope….. can’t even imagine !Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.December 11, 2013 at 1:15 pm #15961

Hell is so dark because it is devoid of the Light love and truth of our Risen Savior – a place of complete denial and rejection of the free gift and sacrifice of Jesus for their souls. A forever “no turning back…” What saddness for those who deny Christ!I Am the Lord! Besides Me there is no Savior. For there is no other name under Heaven given among men by which we must be saved. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved!December 11, 2013 at 2:09 pm #15964
it is so sad for those are lost and i cant even image that when they die and end up in hell forever. when i read in this bible about rich man and lazarus, rich man was crying and gnashing his teeth and asking for water from above but there is no way to do that. it grieve me most becasue they didnt choose Jesus before they die. people dont think it is serious matter but it is really serious matter to their souls.
recently this week that i read in proverbs. wow proverbs has lots of wisdom advice and make me think twice. for example wisdom person always think of death as the wisdom person know what s going happen after they die but for foolish people, they dont think of death, they think of party all the time and they are so fool because they dont realize that their life are numbered before they know it. only God know when they die each day. it is really sad that people are not realizing their lives are numbered and being so fool that they can wait until they get older. pray for the lost souls before too late.December 11, 2013 at 2:17 pm #15965
unimaginable sadness (among so many eternal regrets) awaits those choosing to reject the Lord God and His Mercy all the while His heart breaks over mankind.
Right there in Genesis the LORD and CREATOR revealed His Heart over His creation calling it good ~~ yes, the Heavens, the earth, the animals and birds and fish He called good ~~ BUT GOD ~THEN declared of humanity He made as “very good” . .
God doted over mankind He made in His own image~ The wonder of His Holiness, His Majestic Purity, who knew? Almighty God knew the heartbreak making happen the Sacrifice only He could absorb ~~ and still much of mankind rejects such a Lover for His children ~~~
Oh, God we do get impatient wanting to ‘hear’ your call ~~ As watchers ~~ may we be drawn even more toward the Majesty of Your Patience ~
My friend, James Pujol wrote this on FB ~~so encouraging for believers~
No matter where you’ve been, no matter what you’ve done, realize today that your destiny supersedes your mistakes.
When God designed the plan for your life, it wasn’t dependent on you being perfect, never making a mistake or never taking a wrong turn. No, God knew we would all make mistakes.
He knows how to get you back on track no matter where you are in life.
Just like there are many routes on a map, God has a plan to help you reach your destination. He has detours, shortcuts and bypasses. He has already calculated the entire route for your life.
Today, if you’re feeling like you’ve blown it, if you feel like you are too old, too far gone or too far off track, know that nothing you’ve done, no mistake that you’ve made — or ever will make — is a surprise to God. He’s already got it figured out.
He’s arranged a comeback for every setback! He has grace for every weakness. He has mercy for every failure. His gifts are irrevocable, so rise up in faith and receive the good things He has in store for you!December 11, 2013 at 2:42 pm #15968
Think about this life and how much of God’s common grace we take for granted – that cool glass of water, that sunrise, a warm fire, laughter, love. For the lost, this world is the closest they’ll ever get to Heaven. And they don’t even know it. They’ll realize how good they had it here and lament that they could have had it even better. The most tragic souls in Hell are those who came > < this close to Christ, but just missed Him.
~~BeckaI am not afraid of the dark. I am a child of the light. The dark is afraid of me.December 11, 2013 at 4:09 pm #15982
oh, for the breakthrough dear watchers ~~
If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. ~ John 8:36December 12, 2013 at 4:56 am #16044
Oh, I couldn’t agree with everyone here more. We can be locked in the darkest room or a dark closet, devoid of light, but we still have Jesus. As long as we have Him, I don’t think the darkest of of any place on earth can compare to the darkness devoid of Him.
