I love the old hymns that we never hear anymore. The messages are so straight forward and full of joy. Love this one sung in my native language – Texas Twang!
“WHERE THE SOUL NEVER DIES” by Willie Nelson accompanied by his sister Bobbie on the piano
For I know the plans I have for you, plans for good and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11January 30, 2016 at 11:37 am #98778
Years ago when my children were tiny tots, we attended a little Missionary Baptist church where once a quarter we would have “dinner on the grounds” which meant potluck dinner in the fellowship hall. This was always followed by a music hour back in the sanctuary. We had a men’s quartet who loved to sing this one:
“HAVE A LITTLE TALK WITH JESUS” by Willie and sister Bonnie
This was another favorite of those wonderful early years when I was just a baby Christian and enjoyed Sunday services with my whole family -Mother who played the piano, my darling Granny, and all my brothers and sisters (there are 6 of us) and aunts, uncles and cousins. Looking back on those days makes me long for heaven even more when we will all be reunited and worshipping together again.
“THE LILY OF THE VALLEY” by Willie and sister Bonnie
