Genuine faith in Jesus Christ is not now nor has it ever been defined merely by a political party affiliation. That said, when a person embraces the ungodly principles and beliefs of any organization, including a political party, such affiliation can often become an accurate reflection of the state of their souls.
Watching the majority of the Democrats last night and their reactions at various times during the President’s speech, some of the reactions that came to my mind included things like eternally tragic and just flat out pathetic (as in “arousing and deserving of sympathetic sadness and compassion”).
At times, my reaction tends to be anger towards these people, though I am not at all sure that it is always a righteous anger that is pleasing to the Lord. But then, in my more Christlike moments, anger can turn more to sadness for these people who are on their way to a Christless eternity and seem to have absolutely no clue of this reality. And just for clarification, I have no illusion that everybody sitting on the Republican side of the aisle is on their way into the Kingdom. I am neither that naive nor foolish.
Draw the ones that You have ordained to come to You, Abba, and use us in these last hours to align ourselves with Your plans and Your purposes. In Yeshua’s mighty Name.
John 14:1-3 “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also."
