I have someone close to me that claims to be a Christian seer. He keeps seeing this demon spirit after me and believes I am going to be attacked by some man coming up from behind me. He has had many visions of this come to him. Do you think the Lord is trying to warn me through this person? or is being a Christian seer not in effect today?August 5, 2015 at 5:27 pm #81628
I don’t totally discount God giving people previews of things to come. Unfortunately, I’ve seen very few instances in which the predictions that were made actually came true.
What bothers me about this one is that there isn’t anything offered to help you prevent this from happening. All I can see is apprehension and uncertainty. Many people are victims of an attack, whether they are warned of it or otherwise. How does this “seer” help you in this matter?
As I do not know this man, or his motives, I cannot be sure what’s going on. It just seems to me that what you’re being told is not very useful.
My soul yearns, even faints, for the courts of the Lord;
my heart and my flesh cry out for the living God. Psalm 84:2August 5, 2015 at 6:21 pm #81630

Maybe the next time you should ask him to just pray for protection if he keeps seeing this, but I have a feeling this is not of the Lord.
We have this treasure in earthen vessels that the excellency of God's power may be of Him and not of us. 2 Cor. 4:7August 5, 2015 at 6:30 pm #81631
I don’t think its from God. If the word of knowledge does not give u peace , a rest in your spirit its not from God. If its from God He will give you a solution also and it will always point you to Jesus. So don’t be afraid, keep seeing Jesus.August 5, 2015 at 6:47 pm #81632

Karen – these are things you can ask yourself… Because he says he is a seer, have you seen other things come to pass that he has pictures of? If he is established in a good biblical church; is the pastor aware and in agreement that he is a seer? You said he is close to you; have you known him long, and if he is known and trusted by friends and family?
If the answer to those sorts of questions are all yes, then there may be something to it. If that is the case, your part then is to begin praying against this, as we will. If your answers are all yes to these questions, then it would be good to take it to your pastor and any intercessors you may know, for prayer covering, and to break any assignment of the enemy. To bind and rebuke his plans, take authority over them, renounce them, and call them null and void and to no affect.
Then prayers of protection to surround you, covering you and your home with the shed blood of Jesus, in all your going out and all your coming in. With God’a angels watching over you to thwart any mischief from any man. With the Holy Spirit giving you discernment and wisdom as you go about life, to keep you safe from traps and snares.
If this person is credible who has told you this, then it would be presumption to ignore, so, just take it to the Lord, to your pastors, to friends who pray, and trust the Lord to deliver you from harm as you seek and stay near to Him.
And there should be prayer the man who would have attacked, that he would be delivered from evil ways and saved.
But he who listens to Me shall live securely And will be at ease from the dread of evil. Pr 1: 33
I Am the Lord! Besides Me there is no Savior. For there is no other name under Heaven given among men by which we must be saved. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved!...For in him we live, and move, and have our being!August 6, 2015 at 6:40 am #81663
I think he might be legitimate because one time I missed the bottom stair and hurt myself and he called about a minute later saying I’m calling to check up on you because this feeling came over me that you hurt yourself. He is a believer in Jesus Christ. He claims he had a premonition a week before he was in a severe car accident that he was going to be in a car accident. The accident had him temporarily in a coma and he said he died on the table and they brought him back to life. Before they brought him back to life, he says he saw Jesus.
I’m really not walking around in fear and I am praying for the Lord’s protection. Thanks for all your replies.August 6, 2015 at 9:35 am #81669
He may well be perceiving things, but they may not originate from God. Even those who are in His family are subject to deception.
Father God, keep Karen surrounded in Your embrace and protect her from all the wiles of the evil one. Help her stay sensitive to Your Holy Spirit dwelling inside of her without fear of desertion, that she would hear any warning from You directly, timely, and with clear instructions for how to respond.
I am convinced of this, that the One who began a good action among you will bring it to completion by the Day of the Messiah Jesus. Philippians 1:6August 6, 2015 at 11:17 am #81674
Praying for you Karen. Father thank you for giving us this fellowship and opportunity to come to you with our needs. Thank you for covering our sister Karen with your protection and deliver her from whatever could cause such an attack, according to your will. In Jesus’ precious name amen
