    Hi Ritan Family,

I’m not very good at asking for things so I’ll try to keep it short and simple.

I’ve been off-sick from work since January 2015 (I had worked through 2014 with short episodes of illness), my sick pay ran out in December 2015. I was misdiagnosed for 2 years and only got an official diagnosis in April, unfortunatley my condition is incurable, I have Myalgic Encaphalomyelitis.

This has taught me to trust in the Lord to provide for my needs, and as always He has been there provide just what I needed at the perfect times. I have a roof over my head, clothes on my back, food in the fridge, water, heating, electricity and the Blessed Hope!

I’ve just been officially “terminated” this afternoon from my employment, a job I greatly enjoyed but alas not healthy enough to carry out, I knew this day was coming but it’s all so strange now that it’s a done deal.

I hope you can pray that I can continue to trust in the Lord to provide for me and not to let any bitterness or melancholy set it, in regards to my situation or illness, and also that the Lord may use my situation for the good. Also that I can summon enough energy and strength to travel to my parents for the Christmas season as I have not been able to travel to them for nearly a year due to my situation.

    Thank you,

    Loz :]

    Psalm 18:2
The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.

    Heavenly Father,

Thank You, for being an awesome Father. Thank you for our Hope and thank you for your Word.

Lord, we pray that you turn your heart to Loz today. We know that you always hear us and you are aware of our needs. Please, O God, provide for Loz. Care for him, as we do, in his time of need and his time of rejoicing.

Lord, I commend Loz to you, for you know better than we do what he needs. Please, show yourself mighty on his behalf and strengthen and encourage him. We know, Lord, that you have not left us alone and you will use us and provided for us, no matter what our position in this world, for your Glory!

To you belong the Honor and Glory forever! Come quickly, Lord!

    In Jesus’ name – Amen.

*Hang in there Loz, you are always in my prayers.* :rose:

Loz, I have the same thing. I have been fighting this for over 5 years and have gotten very frustrated. It is something that is not well understood and there isn’t any treatment. It is definitely life altering in a major way and a lot of people don’t get that. For now I do my best to learn to live with it and praying for God’s healing. I will pray for you also.

May the Lord regard and esteem each of your prayers brother! His grace is always sufficient, but His loving kindness and tender mercies are without measure.

May the beauty of your spirit overwhelm the Lord’s heart! I pray that you have a divine appointment with the Holy Spirit. May His blessings for you be without number!

You are greatly loved and cherished by many, never let this truth leave your heart. His banner over you is love, then let His mantle of peace bring you joy unspeakable!

Love & blessings…Tender Reed Your brother and admirer!

    Lord,

It is so humbling to totally depend on you. We do it without even realizing we are doing it. But when we come into circumstances forced to rely totally on you and feeling helpless to help ourselves, it hits home in unexpected ways. We suddenly understand just how helpless we are and how total our reliance is solely on you is. Send mighty angels to uphold Loz as he struggles to accept his limitations and understand his situation while totally relying on you and you alone. We thank you and praise you for your special care of our Loz as he struggles with this disease. Send right people his way to help and reveal wisdom in his options. Remind him daily of your love and care for him.. that he isn’t alone in his battle. Surprise him with more stamina, strength and courage then he realizes he has. Help him adjust to his new circumstance now his job is off the table. Enable him to summon the strength to get to his parents this Christmas and bless each one mightily in the process. Help with the expenses as well. Lead the way he should go for financial help. Guide to the right Dr. with answers he needs personally. Lift up his spirits to fight off any depression. Help him to know and experience the love of others. Brighten his days with glimpses of You at work in His life as he depends on you more and more. Bring him comfort and peace in his situation.

We lift Norma as well as she also struggles with this disease that isn’t understood well. May the Lord bring miraculous healing to you both soon providing a witness beyond recognition. May both reach out to one another so neither is alone. Ease frustrations and make ways possible where there seems no way. Give each a glorifying testimony of You and Your love in miraculous ways we pray and ask in Your Son’s Holy Name, Father. Amen

The eyes of the Lord range throughout the entire earth, to strengthen those whose heart is true to him.

Over the years here at RITAN, I have come to evermore appreciate the prayers of the saints of God! Being able to step outside ourselves and to humbly request God’s heart to be shed over someone else must truly please Him.

Of all of the various types of prayer at our disposal, prayers of intercession IMHO are most blessed! May all who do so be upheld by His righteousness and His strength.

Loz, I am praying for you.
I will also pray that you will be able to visit your parents and have a wonderful time with them.

Do not fear, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and hold you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."

Hi Loz. Very, very sincerely sorry to hear of your physical condition and the struggles I know you must be experiencing as a result. I am praying that God’s grace would sustain you and that His power would be perfected in your weakness. I know there is a very real risk of coming across as trite or canned when the best one has to offer to a suffering brother in Christ is to share a scripture. Can you imagine one of Job’s friends coming alongside of him at his deepest moment of anguish to say, “Well, praise the Lord, brother, all things work together for good to those who love God and are called according to His purpose. Well, come to think of it, Job, looking at your situation, maybe God hasn’t called you.” Thanks a lot, worthless friend.

I don’t want to be a worthless friend, so I will close with this thought. I suspect I have wept the same kind of tears that you have in my battle with Lyme disease. I weep WITH you now, and hold firmly to the truthful hope that one day, very soon, we will be with our Father and dance as David danced, without any fatigue or pain. Maranatha, Lord Jesus.

John 14:1-3 “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also."

Praying for you, my dear brother Loz. I always look forward to your gentle words of love and compassion here and am thankful that you have overcome your reticence to call attention to yourself, so that we can pray for you. I’m praying for your healing, strength and energy, financial blessings, ability to visit your parents, and most especially your peace of mind. God is already using your situation for good.

Dear Norma, I’m praying for your healing, too! :rose:

Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

Loz, I am sorry that my response to your post was a bit short. I want to repeat what Tender Reed and Goodcheer said: you do have a beautiful spirit, you are greatly loved and cherished by many and I always look forward to your gentle words of love and compassion.

I am sorry for what you are going through and will continue to pray for you.

Norma, I will be praying for you too.

    Thankyou,

To everyone who commented, everyone who just “liked” and everyone who just prayed quietly in the background.

@savedat33 – I’m hanging in there, cheating a little by standing on a box while hanging, but hanging all the same! Thanks for your prayer. :rose:

@norma – Your words are unfortunately 100% correct, the condition is much maligned hear in the UK from the Government Health agencies downards. Luckily there are a lot of self sufficient forums that state facts and experiences from actual sufferers as opposed to political lobbyists.

I’m sorry that you are suffering with this as well, and you’re right you can only try and learn to live with it and any limitations it brings into your life. I count myself lucky as I’m in Christ, how many sufferes are not, how do they cope? 🙁

I’ll keep you in prayer too Norma, for respite form any pain and some level of improvememt. :rose:

@TenderReed – Thankyou for your kind words from a Brother who admires you and your Spirit also!
Yes, the spirit of prayer here at Ritan has become an ever more important part of this family’s website for me, it’s the one small thing I know I can do to help others, whether in public or privately.

@david R – Thankyou for your prayers and your general input on Ritan.

@Victory Chanter – Thankyou for your continued wisdom and prayers. :rose:

@heidi – Thankyou Heidi for praying for me, your first response was fine, but I welcome the second response aswell, 2 for the price of 2! :rose:

@watchman35 – Thankyou for weeping with me, I know you have been through some trials with your health, your words and friendship is worth more than gold! I’m ready to dance!

@goodcheer – Thankyou for your prayers and kind words. :rose:

Well the Lord is always good and yours and my prayers have been answered.

Two days after my prayer request an advertised car came up for sale at a car dealers an hour’s travel by train from my home. Although the car was advertised the dealer had not put any pictures up of the car, I contacted him and he kindly sent me several high resolution images of the car along with a history of it and it’s previous owners, he also agreed not to post the pictures to the car advertisement until I had viewed the car.

I spoke to him on the phone and made enquiries of the car as the images sent to me had the registration number on it so I could check MOT test results and accurate mileages recorded, etc. I went to view it the next day after arranging insurance, I prayed for extra strength to make the journey and wisdom to make the right choice on purchasing it or not as I have a very limited budget.

The car dealer arranged for me to be picked up from the train station by his Dad, let me take as long as I wanted to look over the car and let me test drive it, I had not driven for 3 years so I informed him he may be in danger! 🙂

We agreed a price and car tax was arranged and I drove the car back home, all be it making a 1.5 hours drive turn into 5 hours, but the Lord led me home safely and the car did not break down. I’m typing this from my Parent’s home, so I have made it to my family for the Christmas season, thank you Lord, and thank you Ritans!

    Merry Christmas

Praising God you made it home to your family and were well enough to make the trip even if it did take a awhile to get there and receiving the right assistance to get this car. So many blessings in the prayers answered. Have an especially warm, and blessed Christmas Loz. Love to you.

I have just returned to my home from my Parent’s, I’ve been there for the best part of a month.

I managed the drive back without incident and unloaded the car of various bags, went inside and put the kettle on.

3 hours later I could not remember where I put my car keys, looked in every bag, pocket and drawer to no avail, I thought I must of locked them in car and I do not have a spare set! , :negative: .

I ventured outside with a torch to see which seat I had left them on only to find they were still in the key slot of the boot! Thankyou Lord! :good:

I also proceeded to open the 20 or so letters waiting for me and to my surprise I received a letter from our (UK) Disability Government Department, I was in the process of taking my disability application to Tribunal Appeal Court as I was refused disability by two case managers.

My case and medical evidence was re-examined and I have been awarded disability payments backdated to August 2016, I have a sense of relief more than ovee riding joy as this decision should of been made at the get go, but I am extremely grateful to you all for your prayers.

P.S. The previous disclaimer still stands.
