I would request your prayers to find employment. As I have an interview tomorrow, my first one in nearly 3 months! It pays very well and is a long-term contract.
However, I’m not quite interested in being in another long-term contractor again after being burned by my previous one, where I was not hired, could not get benefits that I don’t have to pay for that are nearly the price of a luxury vehicle payment (I’m diabetic), and on top of that, a huge contract snafu occurred which cost over two dozen contractors their jobs.
I’ve also been reading Glassdoor reviews of this company and it is at 2.3 stars out of 5, this really concerns me that the Lord would send me here.
Please pray the interview goes well and for wisdom on what to do with such information, yet I need to get back to work, Walmart and Amazon — I guess I’m “over qualified.”

Praying Goldenknight for supernatural peace in your interview tomorrow. Praying also that the Lord’s favor would guide your path, that He would close the doors that He does not want you to enter in to and open the one that He has for you to pursue. If any man lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives liberally to all men and without reproach. I pray that you have the mind of Christ in discerning what to do, and that the Holy Spirit would fill you with His presence. I am trusting the Lord that you will know what to do by His grace at work in you through faith. (I know from firsthand experience that the benefits thing as a contractor is often very expensive, but perhaps you can negotiate some additional compensation to help cover it if it really seems like a good fit. Again, trusting the Lord to give you wisdom to know what to do.) Keep us posted on how it goes.
John 14:1-3 “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also."December 19, 2016 at 9:46 pm #126123
Agreeing with Watchman’s inspired prayer for you, Goldenknight. Praying also that in any case the Lord provides you with a healthcare solution that you can afford.

So, how did it go Goldenknight?
John 14:1-3 “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. Oh two days late for me to read it. How did your interview go?December 21, 2016 at 8:40 pm #126183
The interview went fine — their director did not interview me because they had a fire to put out and their in-house contracting agent did not see me at the scheduled time before the interview. The interviewer was a casual interviewer, which is nice, but didn’t ask about my background, except for a question about the use of a certain application I’ve used in the past. I don’t mind, I don’t tend to criticize how a person interviews and I go along with how they interview and answer accordingly.
A previous co-worked knows the person that interviewed me, she said it was an “Ok” place to work if you need a job, which I do, I’m still not sure what will happen or if this is God’s will or why He had me interview there, unless it will lead to a position there. They plan to make a decision around January 9, 2017.
I told a colleague, the believer I mentioned in another prayer request and told him he should consider applying because the interviewer said they just lost two of their writers!
We’ll see what happens, proceeding as if the job search continues and that essentially the last 12 days until January 3, 2017 is essentially a wash out due to the holidays.

I will put you in my prayers. I was unemployed over for a few months over Christmas time back in 2013/2014. I know how hard it can be to have to go through this. Things got pretty dire but, looking back, I can see how God was with me through every step of the way. I’m the only person I know who was better off after being unemployed (if that makes any sense).
KeithDecember 21, 2016 at 8:57 pm #126186
Yeah, Keith, that makes sense. It’s been my experience that God kicks it up a notch, better pay, better job, better experience, so I just expect that to be the case. I just don’t want to be unemployed 8 months like the last time, that was the longest time I was unemployed and very painful. I want to get back to work either now, if possible, or in January 2017.

Praying for you Goldenknight.
