I’m currently working on something new. I’m not exactly sure how to title the whole thing, because it’s kind of a hodge-podge, but it’s a hodge-podge of related ideas.
I posted the first part, and I’ll wind up having to tweak it a bit to get it to fit into the new paper. The Midst of the Week deals with the events of the middle of the Week, and more specifically, of the 7th Trumpet.
I decided to exegete the entire book of Joel, which may seem unrelated to the above ideas, but if you just compare Joel 1 and 2 to the 5th and 6th Trumpet judgments, you’ll see the ideas are not unrelated at all. The locust army which devours Israel at the end of the Week, is released in Trumpet 5 and put to work in Trumpet 6. It’s the same army that will destroy Babylon at the end of the Week in Isaiah 13 & Rev 16-18, then come against Jerusalem. This is the same army Jesus goes forth and fights in Zechariah 14’s day of battle. Also, in Joel 3. Of course, they aren’t the only ones Jesus will fight, but they will be among those defeated and destroyed.
But one thing Joel 2 also brings into the equation is the former and latter rains and the first month. This corresponds to something very, very specific and also goes hand-in-hand with what I did a video about but said I wasn’t going to write about. If you saw that video, you know where I’m going with this.
If you guys want to help me out with a title, that’d be cool. I hope to have this entire thing posted something this weekend.Romans1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. 17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
