I had not been aware of this passage when I wrote Psalm 83 and Isaiah 17, but if you read Numbers 24:16-end of the chapter, it tells you exactly when the final destructions of the people and places in Psalm 83 will occur and who will be causing them. 🙂 I would paste the verses but I’m on my phone and it’s no so easy at the moment.

The verses would have been great to include had I known about them, because they just solidify everything else I came across. I love when that happens! So I figured I would share them now.

No answer to Psalm 83’s imprecatory prayer until the Second Coming! No Isaiah 17 until then, either 🙂

Romans1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. 17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

I see the references to the people/places, but what exactly are you seeing as far as timing?

In response to your question on the other post Watchman, the answer of timing is in verses 17 and 19. The prophecy regards Jesus, and what He is prophesied to do gives us the “when”. It definitely isn’t what He did the first time around…

So, Heather, are you saying you see the Psalm 83 & Isaiah 17 timing when Jesus physically returns to earth at the end of Daniel’s 70th week?

John 14:1-3 “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also."

There’s a bit more to it than that, but bottom line… yes. Psalm 83 isn’t a conflict. There will be a response given, as has been requested, for God to destroy all of Israel’s perpetual enemies on account of their ancient hatred toward Israel and the God of Israel (Ham, Ishmael, Esau & Lot vs. Shem, Abraham, Isaac & Jacob). This, He will do at a very specific time as part of the judgment of the nations. The judgment of those specific ones, though, are expressly called out in Scripture.
