The question came up several days ago about creating a sticky thread for those who wish to add loved ones to the list that we as the Ritan body of Christ can pray for in support of one another. God hears the cries of our hearts and the prayers of the righteous are mighty. There is power in prayer and we are told to pray in faith , believing . The prayers of a righteous man availeth much. Faith is the substance of things hoped for and evidence of the unseen. Smallest Warrior reminded us of this. We’ve heard of the power of a Grandmother’s prayer and certainly a mother’s would avail much, too. Grandparents and parents, siblings, aunt, uncles, cousins friends and friends of the family — all have a powerful influence in spirit. It is our privilege to pray for one another’s concerns and lift up family members to the Lord to reach. Time is short. Let us pray for one another’s heart felt concern for loved ones.
Several already agreed to pray for each other’s families or friends but creating this thread makes it official for any of us to join in lift one another’s desires for lost loved ones to Heaven’s throne in hope that a way can be found to reach our lost loved ones. This way we can even lay hands on the computer screen over these loved ones. We then also have all these relationships listed in one place. We won’t embarrass anyone by using names but instead use relationships. God knows who our loved ones are and their stories. He knows the desires of our heart and our love for loved ones we are concerned about to come to salvation. As we pray for another’s family or friends may our own loved ones by remembered as well.
Use your user name and then add the relationship of the person(s) you want prayer for. That simple. This is just for salvation of loved ones. Other prayers need separate posting. Just names to keep this from being too lengthy. We don’t need situations or explanations here.
Example: family members, in-laws, neighbors.

It’s a big list!
My sister, her husband and three children – all atheists
My husband’s brothers and their families; especially his one brother who is particularly evil and greedy who makes fun of my husband about his faith all the time and is right now trying to steal money from my very ill mother in law.
My Mother In law who as I stated above is very ill (doctors think it’s lymphoma) right now and 91. She told me she is a Christian the other night but because she is practically deaf when I tried to ask about it she did not hear me and fell asleep. She was brought up Catholic so I don’t know what she means by “Christian”. Lots of people say they are Christians but are not born again believers.
Then there is my brother who has not spoken to me in 25 years; he has fallen away from the Lord and really needs prayer.
Lord I pray that you will open my family member’s eyes to the truth. Thank you Lord for the opportunity for all of us to lift each other up in prayer.October 12, 2015 at 7:03 pm #90595
Just the facts or this list will become too lengthy, please. The Lord knows the details. We just need the relationship to pray for here. Thanks.

I Am the Lord! Besides Me there is no Savior. For there is no other name under Heaven given among men by which we must be saved. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved!...For in him we live, and move, and have our being!October 12, 2015 at 10:35 pm #90618

1 Bless the LORD, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name!

Lord, hear the cries of our hearts as we plead for our loved ones’ salvation . So many of us have so very many on our hearts to bring before you as we understand the urgency of this hour. We lay them at the foot of the cross releasing them fully to You in hope You can reach them . Open the eyes of their hearts to see and know the Truth. Give them understanding and wisdom, the desire to seek You and walk closely with You seeking Your heart above all else. Lead them to receive Your wonderful offer for which You died to gift us while covering our sins to make us worthy of Heaven’s citizenship. Cleanse them to prepare for Your soon coming. We pray for the salvation of these precious souls we love, Lord. In the power of Your holy Name above all, we ask this for these we love. Hear our prayer O Lord. Amen

I’m sorry mine was too long; didn’t mean to break the rules – I tried to edit it but I don’t know how and accidently reported it as inappropriate content. So if you can delete it I will redo my list without all the details.October 15, 2015 at 9:21 am #90963

Watcher72, no worries. The desire was not to embarrass our family members and to keep things short. It wasn’t exactly a rule but more of a guideline. If you really want your post deleted to start over we can do that but it’s not necessary. You have 1 hour to delete or revise a post after posting. Just so you know how this works.
Loz, how exciting and encouraging for all here! Praise God from whom all blessings flow!October 16, 2015 at 7:32 pm #91180
I have a booklet I treasure titled, “Scripture Keys for Kingdom Living” by June Newman Davis, a Missionary Evangelist. It is available for purchase at Christian Bookstores for about $15.00 though that was awhile back now. I tried to post a lengthy article here and lost it the other day to encourage you. See what you think. Will this be a help that you might like to consider? I will break this posting up in to more than one post and hopefully not lose it all this time. Scriptures are listed for every imaginable desire to use God’s Word and claim it when praying. His Word is life and when we offer it back in prayer requests He takes notice and honors His Word in this booklet. Below are Scripture verses for family salvation and others.
God’s Word is a seed which opens the heart to receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. God has sent His Word to use daily, to direct, instruct, protect, heal, deliver, cleanse, convict, create, console, and to bring about the most precious gift of all … salvation! “For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; … “Romans 1:16. The Word of God is the seed which opens the heart to receive Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. “With the mouth Confession is made unto salvation” Romans 10:9-10.
SALVATION FOR FAMILY
First a note from JND. In 1973, I gave certain scriptures to a lovely lady by the name of Norah who worked in a Bible book store in Clearwater, Florida. She related to me how she had been praying for her husband’s salvation for five years. I began to share with her the scriptural way to receive results for anything. if you are a believer. ; especially for those on your heart. With joyful anticipation and praise , she attended to God’s Word as directed. Later she told me that she began to pray for her husband’s salvation on Nov. 3, 1973. She inscribed the date in her Bible by each scripture which I gave her. The following February 28th , her husband was saved and baptized in the Holy Ghost. The secret of the quick results is trusting God to do the work ; this means to keep quiet and not make one inference about your beliefs or ideas. If inquiries are made , be minimal in your conversations.. God will begin to work right before your eyes bringing you a complete joy when you see him hasten His Word to perform it. There is a way and it works if you believe , for God honors His Word and uses the foolish things of the world to confound the wise (I Corinthians 1:25-28). So don’t falter … persevere no matter what circumstances come up before your eyes. God is faithful to His Word.October 16, 2015 at 7:52 pm #91181
SALVATION FOR FAMILY
Before I go on (JND) , there should be a stipulation set forth here. If the one for whom you are praying has already received the heavenly gift, the Baptism of the Holy Ghost, and yet this one has apparently gone back to the ways of the world, then much, much more effort will have to be taken on your part. Fasting and prayer will break the bands of wickedness. (VC adds the reminder of binding and loosening, too.) Not many in the Bible were able to change God’s mind ! Two of the very few recorded in the Bible are Hezekiah and Ahab. They humbled themselves before God and God did change His mind. If you know how wicked Ahab was and at that time there was no grace available, you will have a vivid picture of the mercy of God. God is not willing that any perish. He desires all men come into salvation. He states, “For I am the Lord, I change not…” therefore His Word cannot change either (Matthew 24:35). The Word states , “Him that cometh to Me, I will in no wise cast out” (John 6:37 and Hebrews 7:25.) So fast and pray for this one to acknowledge the error of his ways and repent of his wrong doing, so the glorious light of the Gospel will draw him back into fellowship with God. “For with God nothing shall be impossible” (Luke 1:37).
FOR SALVATION AND THE BAPTISM OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
Use the following verses in each situation , applying them to the person whom you are praying for by putting their name in each scripture. Speak these selected scriptures out loud. If necessary, write them down on a piece of paper and read them to the Lord (Hosea 14:2). Soon after, you will notice that those scriptures will become part of you because memorization comes from repeating verses often.October 16, 2015 at 8:22 pm #91184
Step 1 —– Acts 16:31—-Believe– for family members . The Word says this belongs to you!
Step 2 —– Colossians 4:3—- Door of utterance— The door of utterance is opened by the Holy Spirit to speak the mystery of Christ by the witness of another (other than yourself). They will plant the seed of the Word in their heart for the Holy Spirit to water and nourish. Then the mystery of Christ will be revealed because their spiritual eyes will have been opened by the Holy Spirit to receive the indwelling Word. If you leave all this to Jesus , He will do a much faster job and in doing so, will bring all the glory to God.
Scriptures following and including this step can be used for whomever , as well as family.
Step 3 —– Matthew 5:6—- Hunger and thirst—-Only the Lord Jesus can give them this hunger for spiritual things and more of Him.
Step 4 —– John 6:44; 14:6—- Drawn unto the Father—Drawing power is part of God’s omnipotence (all power). Only God the Father can draw them into submission by His Holy Spirit (John 1:12-13).
Step 5—– Psalm 37:4-5—- committal—- this is the key to success of the whole plan. When someone is committed to the Lord , he must be left in the Lord’s hands . If you start fretting , questioning, worrying, you are not trusting God, and you get it back in your hands –God’s hands are tied by your unbelief. Faith is believing you receive before you see it (Hebrews11:1)
From this point on you will see the devil try to work in a stronger , more evident way, if you are around the one whom you are praying . The devil wants you to doubt and waver so your prayer will not be answered. “A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance; but by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken”. Proverbs 15:13.
Don’t let the devil break your spirit. Remember verbalizing God’s promises is joining your faith to your confession. “That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in Christ Jesus.” (Philemon 6). God has begun His work , so from the day of committal, there is no need to ask any more. Begin to thank Him each day, repeating each scripture key as you apply it to the person for whom you are praying . As you repeat the Word each day, you are holding “fast your profession” (Hebrews 4:14b) and believing you have received even before the evidence is before your eyes and ears (2 Corinthians 4:13). Do not stop thanking God each day in each scripture key until you see the results come forth!

The Scripture verses mentioned under each topic above.
Step 1—– Believe—–Acts 16:31—–:They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus , and you will be saved –you and your household.”
Step 2—–Door of Utterance—–Colossians 4:3—–“And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ , for which I am in chains.”
Step 3—-Hunger and Thirst—-“Matthew 5:6—-” Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.”
Step 4—–Drawn unto the Father:
John 6:44—-“No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws them, and I will raise them up at the last day.”
Also, John 14:6—–“Jesus answered, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'”
Step 5—-Committal—-Psalm 37:4-5
“Take delight in the Lord,
and he will give you the desires of your heart.
5 Commit your way to the Lord ;
trust in him and he will do this.
May the Lord hear the cries of our hearts as we pray His Word over our lost loved ones! Give Him praise and glory. Worship and praise sends the devil fleeing. it confuses him! While confusing the devil, it pleases God!October 18, 2015 at 1:27 pm #91317
