ok, i’ll open my mouth one more time, and share a bit of blessed hope from my heart before Facebook time arrives:

I’m wondering about Ascension Day, and also about 1 Sivan which is May 25 this year (by Hebcal).
Ascension day—wonder if we rise on the anniversary of when Jesus rose
1 Sivan because of Ex 19:1 In the third month, when the children of Israel were gone forth out of the land of Egypt, the same day came they into the wilderness of Sinai.

1 Sivan, 1st day of the third month is May 25, a few days away. Sinai is where the law was given, so perhaps as a “shadow” or “example” of what will happen one day when the 70th week begins, perhaps that week will begin on the anniversary of when Israel entered the wilderness of Sinai. I don’t know, it just is a thought. Going to still hope in the Lord. He will come for us when it is time…best to you, Maranatha

Edit to add about Ascension day: Luke 24:50-53, Acts 1: 1-14
On Torah calendar, it has Ascension Day from sunset May 23 to sunset May 24.
On Hebcal, it would be May 21, the 40th day of the Omer. Pentecost is the 50th day of the Omer.

Judah, you are he whom your brothers shall praise: your hand shall be in the neck of your enemies; your father's children shall bow down before you. Judah is a lion's whelp: from the prey, my son, you are gone up: he stooped down, he couched as a lion, and as an old lion; who shall rouse him up? The scepter shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and to him shall the gathering of the people be. Gen 49

I have for several years, Regina, thought about the appropriateness of Jesus coming back “in like manner” as the disciples saw him go! Ascension Day! Yesss!!

I also think that day is the 50th anniversary commemoration of “Jerusalem Day.” Coinciding with Ascension Day… Seems appropriate to acknowledge the burdensome stone the world powers are struggling with all that week as President Trump and company meet there two days earlier (probably having an outside-the-box framework for unveiling a ‘covenant with many’ drafted in their dossiers)…

Man! Isn’t this a remarkable time to be a watcher!? Yesss!! My dear departed Mother would be green with envy that her son has been able to tune in real-time experiencing what she so ardently hoped to see all her life. Well, maybe not green. Let’s just say her rejoicing today in the grave just may be wild enough to help kick open that grave sometime Wednesday after next!

Maybe let’s do a ten day countdown: ten, nine, eight…

Blast off in ten days! Could it be?

I know that my Redeemer lives, and that in the end He will stand upon the earth. And after my skin has been destroyed, yet in my flesh I will see God; I myself will see Him with my own eyes -- I, and not another. How my heart yearns within me! Job19:25-27

I am stuck on this day  and one thing that stood out is that in the count of the Omer, Ascension day falls on the 40th day. Like the Israelites in the desert for 40 years maybe 40 is significant in our entering the promised land with the rapture. It also seems that Ascension day stands out as a separate day that relates specifically to the church.

Maybe Pentecost relates specifically to the Jews in that they were given a chance on the original Pentecost to share The Messiah with the world, but because of the hardness of their hearts failed, and salvation went to the Gentiles with a mostly Gentile church. This next Pentecost would be a do over of sorts for the Jews as well as the start of a new dispensation. This time they will prevail in their faith and Jesus their Messiah will return at the second coming!! :good:

A side note Moses allowed divorce because of the hardness of hearts and God in a sense set aside Israel because of the hardness of their hearts. He is about to reunite with them I believe! God bless all here and happy mothers day!! :rose:

Ps it seems that Ascension day and the church picture grace and Pentecost and Israel picture the law. Both are actually needed, Grace and the Law. But mercy and justice have kissed Psalm 85:10, now in Jesus!!

    Psalm 85:10King James Version (KJV)

10 Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other.

It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man. Psalm 118:8

I have seen Ascension Day also listed as the 25th of May…the 40th day after Resurrection Day…good thing is that all the days listed are very soon! :yahoo:

"and all creation sing with me now, lift up your voice and lay your burdens down...let all of creation sing with me now fill up the heavens let HIs glory resound, and every knee will bow, oh in every tongue praise the Father, praise the Son and the Spirit in One!!"

It seems there is a “calm before the birth” in real life pregnancy when the birth pains subside for a day before the true pain of birth begins and the baby is born.
I think we are in that short period of calm and our birth is about to take place.

We’ve had many years of birth pains and it’s been an increasing frequency of painful events.
And now in this moment of stillness when men are saying peace and security may be achievable in Israel with our president going there in a few days – I’m willing to hope that this may be it – our ascension day is at hand.
