My Bride, Linda, has been gone now almost two years. In two days we would have celebrated the 53rd anniversary of our first date, enjoyed as high school sweethearts. I just wanted to share with my siblings here this poem and song I wrote last year. I’m feeling sad today that we are still here. I know many siblings here share this exact sorrow — yet also, our great blessed HOPE!

    Our Rapture Awaiting

Our wait feels unending, I wish to our God
He’d bring us to heaven with those whom we’ve loved,
Our loved ones redeemed by the Savior’s own blood,
Our loved ones we’ll see next, soon glowing with love.
Not seen yet we hope in God’s mansions above.

We’ve searched through His Scriptures and readily found
The world as it is all our senses confound.
Foretold in His Word are the troubles we see,
The threats to His people who’ll surely be free
To bless Him forever, as with Him they’ll be.

Oh the Rapture is coming though we don’t know when.
Resurrection! Elation! We’ll see them again!

This watching and waiting is hard on this man
Who’s longed for His promise, God’s wonderful plan
To have those saints bodies reliving, and then
My soul mate, my wife, will be breathing again!
We trusted in Jesus’ blood – we were young then.

I’ll soon see my Honey, my Wife, my best friend
Alongside my Jesus — I’ll hold her again.
I expect we’ll be weeping and thrilled, and we’ll find
Our joy reunited, His countenance kind.
He gave us each other for such a long time.

Oh the Rapture is coming though we don’t know when.
Resurrection! Elation! We’ll see them again!

My heart aches within me the longer I wait,
But I know my Savior is outside the gate,
And God’s chosen people will suddenly find
Their promised Messiah, although He’s maligned,
Rejected by those who’re intentionally blind.

Through the portals of Heaven our Savior will come
Giving life to our loved ones, He’s loved every one.
Rewards never ending and sorrow no more!
We’re sure that we’ll never experience “bored,”
Our living together at last with the Lord.

Oh the Rapture is coming though we don’t know when.
Resurrection! Elation! We’ll see them again!

    MWS — With deep gratitude

I know that my Redeemer lives, and that in the end He will stand upon the earth. And after my skin has been destroyed, yet in my flesh I will see God; I myself will see Him with my own eyes -- I, and not another. How my heart yearns within me! Job19:25-27

Romans1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. 17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

What a joy it will be to see both of you, and everyone, hopefully in a short while.

    My soul yearns, even faints, for the courts of the Lord;
my heart and my flesh cry out for the living God. Psalm 84:2

    Psalm 18:2
The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.

My Whitestone-Thanks so much for sharing your touching poem as I can also directly relate to your sorrow and longing and have shed many tears. I know that our separation is only temporary and as you I am looking forward to that very soon glorious day for our Blessed Hope and we are in His presence and reunited with our saved love ones. Until that time the Lord will give us His grace to endure for what He has allowed in the race set before us.

Isaiah 26:4 (ESV) Trust in the LORD forever, for the LORD GOD is an everlasting rock.

Yes, thank you My White Stone for sharing this poem that has encouraged this watcher’s heart.

Amos 9:15 echoed by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu Tuesday, October 1st, 2013 at the United Nations…"And I will plant them upon their land, and they shall no more be pulled up out of their land which I have given them, saith the LORD thy God."

MyWhiteStone…how touching! Such hope in the Lord’s promise, and such expression of love for Linda, the wife He gave you long ago. I, we I’m sure, can’t help but see the depth of your feelings toward them both! Beautiful, and thank you for sharing. I hope the Lord will grant the desires of your heart soon, and that we can all experience the Rapture together.

Hang on and may God surround you with His love and comfort till then.

I Am the Lord! Besides Me there is no Savior. For there is no other name under Heaven given among men by which we must be saved. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved!...For in him we live, and move, and have our being!

Thank you sincerely Heather, David, Andy, Loz, Dave, SolidRock, SeismoJoe, Rocki, and my other siblings in Christ Jesus, for your kind and encouraging words. There’s nothing quite like having family to whom we’re not related by either blood or marriage, is there?
