Psalm 73:24: Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory.
Envy comes naturally. It is standard equipment for sinners. Even those who have been saved by grace.
Looking at people who seem to be on easy street, prospering outwardly, we may conclude that they have no problems. It’s an old malady: “For I was envious at the foolish, when I saw prosperity of the wicked. For there are no bands in their death: but their strength is firm. They are not in trouble as other men; neither are they plagued like other men” (Psalm 73:3-5).
Why do the wicked prosper?
Why have you struggled so long in spite of your prayers and Christian service?
You may not know the answer during your lifetime. Here is something you can know:
WHAT I NEED TO KNOW
I need not know just when the Lord will answer,
I need not know why things look dark today;
I need not know why God withholds His blessing,
While those who hate Him prosper in the way.
I need but know that God is rich in mercy;
I need but know His love is strong and true;
I need but know that in His gracious goodness,
Whatever’s best for me is what He’ll do.
I need not know the reason for this test;
I need but know that He who knoweth best
Will glorify His Holy Name in me —
And that is all I really need to see.

Look up at night and see the stars moving across the night, in day see the sun rising & setting.
Know that planet earth is at the very centre of His creation.
And know He see’s everything and will bring every hidden thing into judgement.
Heliocentricity means earth is not the centre. And leads to fear, doubt, envy etc.
Know this, that we are the very centre of His attention. In your anxieties, His comforts delight our souls.
