Yesterday, on my home computer, I could bring up the site and see all the posts with no issues. Today when I tried to do so from the same computer, I get the “Homepage”, if that is the right term, but the individual posts are no longer visible. I just see some repetitive blurred movement across each rectangular box (with each box representing where a different post would have previously appeared), almost as if it is trying to load and not making it. Full disclosure: I have a very old computer and I still can see the posts when I access the site via my phone web browser. So, maybe the problem is on my end. Just struck me as a bit strange that I would lose my ability to read posts there and was wondering if perhaps some setting on the site was changed in the last 24 hours?

John 14:1-3 “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also."

    Hi Watchman35,

Try clearing your web browser History and Cache, you could even try a”lighter” browser.

    What PC do you have?

What system are you using, eg: Windows 2000, OS Leopard, etc?

What web browser are you currently using?

Windows XP. Firefox. It worked fine two days ago. I changed nothing that I am aware of. Very strange. Wondering if I will have the same issue if I decide to create a Facebook account and join the RITAN group?

Do you mean you are viewing the RITAN FB page without logging into FB and getting an invite from Watching & Waiting?

If so, you need to create your FB account first and sign in, then you will either be invited by W&W directly or you can do a shout out here and someone will let her know. Should all work fine, I replicated what you’re viewing by logging out of FB and viewing the page.

Still confusing to me, Loz. I was able to view and read all the posts previously on Facebook, without ever having an account or log in. I can still see the posts using my phone without an account, but for some reason the posts are no longer loading up and visible on my computer. I don’t understand why they would have been visible to me two days ago, without an account, but today they are not. Again, as far as I am aware, nothing changed on my computer. That is why I was wondering if perhaps some type of setting got tweaked on the Facebook side by Watching & Waiting?

John 14:1-3 “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also."

    Possibly Watchman35,

I don’t know why that same FB front page is viewable on Mobile and not PC, I suspect it’s a format thing between Mobile and Desktop not a setting made by W&W.

But to view AND post on Mobile OR Desktop PC, you would need to register, login and be added by W&W into FB.

What you are probably seeing is the “business” page of RITAN. We have that page and it is apart from the group. Is what you are seeing here?

    https://www.facebook.com/RaptureInTheAirNow/

The group that you are searching for is here:

Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?”

And I said, “Here am I. Send me!”

I just went and hid our business page. It was casing many members confusion. Hope that helps.

Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?”

And I said, “Here am I. Send me!”

    Hi W&W:

No, actually I am in the right place. It is so strange, because I could see everything a couple of days ago, and now when I go there, I can see things like the group description on the right-hand side and tags, but the locations on the screen where posts would normally populate just never come up. There is this sort of repetitive blurred movement across that space, almost as if it is trying unsuccessfully to load. Not sure what to make of it? As mentioned in an earlier post, I continue to be able to see everything on my phone when I hit the site. Not sure what changed, either on my computer or in the account settings. Perplexing. Unable to lurk from my home computer and no idea why. Wondering if I would have the same issue if I do actually create my own FB account?

John 14:1-3 “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also."

If you create a profile and log into FB on your Desktop you will be able to see the RITAN FB group, it looks blurred because you’re not logged in.

But why would it have not looked blurred a couple of days ago, when I could read and see everything as a lurker?

I’m not sure why it is not loading. It is a public group, so anyone should be able to read it. Not sure why it wouldn’t load like it did before, because nothing has changed on our end. Sure hope you join us there though! Making an account and joining the group is quite easy. Everyone would love to see you!

Working on making an account following the tutorial Loz posted. Some of that video is, I think, a bit outdated, but doable. How do I post under my Watchman35 name? Cannot seem to find that. I just got approved, but don’t want to use the other fictitious name that I used to create the account. Can’t seem to find where I can select a different posting name. Any thoughts?

Bumping this up in hopes that someone can provide guidance in response to the question in my previous post. I signed up under a fictitious name, but based on other posts, I thought there was a way that I could then separately select a posting name (i.e., Watchman35). So far I cannot find a place to do that in my profile. Any feedback would be appreciated.

    Hi Watchman35,

Log into FB, on the blue bar at the top of the page there is a question mark and next to that, an upside down triangle right next to it.

Click this triangle which reveal a drop down menu.

    Select and click Settings

You should now have a page with you FB name (asociated with the General heading at the top of the list on your left), at the right of this name is the Edit button, click this and edit your name as you wish.

Hope that’s of help to you.

Thanks Loz. Unfortunately, I cannot be Watchman35, or at least that is how it seems to me. Said you cannot use numbers in your name. Somehow I had the impression that you could open the account with one name (real or fictitious) and then select a second name as the one you wanted your posts to appear under. Seems like I had the wrong impression, as I do not see a way to do that. Bummer. Now, if I start posting, I am under yet another fictitious name. Uggghhh!!

Change your name to Watchman and everyone will know who you are! Or, keep your other fictitious name, but make a post to introduce yourself as Watchman35, and everyone will still know who you are! I’m just happy you made the leap!

And thank you, Loz, for all the help with explaining Facebook to members. I really appreciate it!
