I would like to encourage all who read this to consider praying and fasting over the time between now (Thursday night around 1830 CST) and at least until the President has been sworn in on Friday–longer if you feel so led.
If you are anything like me, my flesh rears up at the thought of being crucified and denied its pleasure of food. And I know there are some who are not physically able to participate for various reasons. No guilt or condemnation attached to this post. Just an appeal to those who feel led by the Spirit to deny their flesh while diligently seeking the Lord for His blessing and protection of the transition of power taking place in our nation. If your body rises up in rebellion to the idea, just tell it to be quiet in the Name of Jesus. And then, every time your body tugs at you for food, let it serve as a reminder, hijacking the protests of the flesh as fuel for your prayers. Help us, Abba, to align ourselves with Your Restrainer, the Holy Spirit living in us. In Yeshua’s Name.
John 14:1-3 “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also."
