Today is my birthday and I’m feeling a little down, I was really hoping that I’d get that job in San Diego, but life goes on. Anyhow, things are a little slow this week on the job search. I really need to get to work, been even applying out of my field and nothing, which concerns me – peace out everyone.

Happy birthday Goldenknight! Sorry this job did not work out, but believing with you and for you to see the hand of God’s provision graciously manifested in your life in His perfect timing. I know the waiting can be painful and hard. But remember this–not a trite recitation of a biblical truth, but a profound reality with eternal implications–rejoice because your name is written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.
I once heard a preacher say something like if you are born once, you will die twice–once physically and then again spiritually. Then he said, if you are born twice (in the flesh and then by the Spirit), you will only die once–as in physically. But for us, in this generation where the return of the Lord seems so likely, perhaps our reality will be born twice and die never! Not sure why the Lord put this train of thought in my mind as I was typing a response to you. Perhaps it will have some deeper significance or meaning to you than I realize. Hope so.
Hang in there. For the children of God, the Lord is at work, even when it seems like nothing is happening. Praying that your soul would be encouraged by His Spirit in you tonight. Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear Goldenknight, happy birthday to you…
John 14:1-3 “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also."February 14, 2017 at 8:32 pm #128427

Happy birthday dear Goldenknight! Praying for you, and about income, your employment need.
Born twice and die never sounds like the best to me, in agreement with Watchman

Happy birthday and blessings. As one of our forum pictures states, “the best is yet to come”! Guess the Lord wants none of us to get to comfortable or too close to anything while we are here. Remember the greatest commandment of all!
None of us will be ashamed by Him. For in the end, He shall lift us up unto Himself, for Himself!

A blessed birthday to you Goldenknight
Consider if the Lord would have you lay down seeking a job at the moment, and set aside a day or two, or however much time it takes, in quiet times of praise alone with the Lord. Something seems amiss in that your need is great, and yet nothing has materialized. Go to the One Who holds everything in His hands – there must be something He wants you to know or see, or reveal to you by communing in His presence.
I Am the Lord! Besides Me there is no Savior. For there is no other name under Heaven given among men by which we must be saved. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved!...For in him we live, and move, and have our being!February 14, 2017 at 10:23 pm #128437
No Other Rock – Is this the Lord telling your this or your own speculation as to what is wrong?

If it speaks to your spirit, I would consider it; if it doesn’t, cast it aside.

Happy Birthday fellow Aquarian, hang in there and keep trusting the Lord.
Praying for your belated birthday present from Above.
The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.February 15, 2017 at 2:33 pm #128463
Thank you Loz!
I was praying pretty fervently last night and just getting real with the Lord about the power that is supposed to be indwelling us as believers, and I told God to activate that Holy Spirit like never before because I need some direction, guidance where I can know God is speaking to me. I asked that He move on the job scene – I got a call today from a recruiter, so hopefully his screen to the hiring manager will lead to a face-to-face interview, I should find out in a few days. It will be a pay cut, but it’s still in my field. The good thing is there is a work place near where I live or I can drive an hour to El Dorado Hills – I think I’ll be moving to Elk Grove to cut half my time or if I take the job near where I live, it’s only 20 minutes, but I really want to get out of the city I live in, so I’m thinking Elk Grove to Lodi, 20 minutes, kind of a reverse commute.
