Just over a week ago, I requested prayers for my brother Morgan, who had collapsed from bleeding from the brain. I asked for prayers for his body and was concerned about his soul, too.
He is recovering rapidly! He is out of ICU, now in rehab, the bleeding has stopped, vision and headaches better. The doctors still don’t know what caused it, and there will be further testing, but he is so much better, praise Jesus. Today, a chaplain visited him, and Morgan asked for a bible, and the chaplain gave him communion. I suggested some psalms for him, and he said he was especially enjoying the New Testament…
He is, and I am so thankful for the prayers and encouragement from my family here. You have no idea what a soothing balm to my spirit your prayers, words of encouragement, and compassion have been for me and my family.March 8, 2017 at 8:38 pm #129207
Great news Goodcheer. So thankful for the happy update. May the Lord continue to draw him closer.
John 14:1-3 “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also."

Thank you for this update just jam packed with Good News. I wish all our praise reports were so fulfilling. Praise God for a Chaplin with a Bible and Scripture suggestions, too. Praise God from whom all blessings flow.!March 11, 2017 at 6:44 pm #129291
Praise God, He really seems to be moving quickly these days. I wonder why He might be in a hurry?
TR, I was thinking exactly the same thing! Right before all this happened, I had been perplexed as to how to speak to my brother about his need for Jesus, especially since I feel time is growing short (Rapture-wise). It occurred to me that he might be more receptive to a man, rather than his little sister, so I prayed for that. Of course, I never thought of a hospital chaplain, but that is how God worked it out, praise Jesus.
God bless you, too, Watchman, Regina, and Melissa! Dad’s doing well and I’m praying that what he is seeing will really touch his heart.
VC, I loved all the words of encouragement from everyone, and there was something about your words that especially gave me courage. I really felt like I could mount up with wings like eagles!March 11, 2017 at 7:41 pm #129292
Instruct your brother to pray with confidence and pray for everything. As we know, the Lord seems to honour the prayers of babes.
May the Lord put a standard around his mind and heart and keep him loving tenderly. How wonderful that the Lord answered a little sister’s prayers! May He lead and empower all of your prayers as well, Sis.
Love & blessings…TR
